I've been thinking high country.......

I'm ready for some mornings like this.

I know it's still a couple months off, but I'm sick of reading being at home and ready to throw on a pack and get moving. When is everyone else planning to begin their summer scouting for bucks and bulls? I'm thinking late June for me.

Brian--Me too-- stuck like lost Puppy inside stinks ! I'm guessing of success on 2 permits -- Antelope & mule deer-- got to use them. Turning 73 in Aug.. Ugh ! ?
I'm going out in July to recon/scout, never been to these units before-- both in Colorado. Always fun to look over new country. Understand your frustrations.
Hang in there ! Jerry Gold ? Fort Collins, Colorado ?

I been hiking in the mountains pretty much every other day for the last three weeks. I combine shed hunting, scouting and keeping my ole body in shape. There are many times the places I end up hunting in the Fall are places I found in the spring. Rubs, wallows , trails, tracks and sometimes even shed antlers can be determining factors for a successful fall hunt. Nothing more rewarding than picking your Mega monster horns up in the spring and getting a crack at him in the fall. Social distancing isn't a problem either except for the dang ticks! I guess they haven't read the rules.
