First big game animal. Couldn't be prouder of how she handled it all; packing, practicing with muzzleloader, waiting with bugs etc...One shot 30 yards.

Congrats to your daughter and a proud papa. Way to get her out hunting. Hope she loves it and stays with it. Lot's of memories to be made with her in the years to come. Thanks for posting.

Awesome-congrats to both of you! Hunting with your daughter is a special thing. My daughter just turned 14 and has killed 2 bucks with a muzzleloader but she made the high school drill team this year so I think her hunting days may be over for a couple years. I’m proud of her, but sad at the same time if that makes sense. She has the hunting bug and loves it though so I am sure she we will be back with me on the mountain in the future??

Congratulations to you and your daughter. I sure would like to see a picture of your daughter sitting next to that bit bear

Congrats to you both! Hunting with my daughter has become my favorite thing to do. We are going to check our bear bait tonight.

I've actually been slow getting her out. She loves the full draw tour, and 3D shoots but I swear she was the biggest complainer on any hike about being bored, bugs, temps etc...She shot the CVA and liked it. I took her and she was a trooper packing bait, crossing a creek swift enough I struggle to cross, getting into and out of a tree stand. All have a level of difficulty and she never complained. Hunting changed everything for her.

It sounds like you found something to connect with her! My son has no interest in hunting, but I have him in Golf and he's really liking it. I can't believe my kids are so different.

We checked our bait last night and had no less than 10 bears on 2 baits. Baits are only a week old! 100lb of food gone in one bait in just 4 days.
