Wyoming unit 7 diy

Looking for some info or help with setting up my hunt this September. Plan on bow hunting and I really don’t have a clue where to start. Seems like most guys go guided in this unit because of access issues, but Im wanting to try this on my own. I am going to call fish and game but not sure how far I’ll get there. Any tips of general areas in the unit to try would be much appreciated. Also wondering about camping etc on public land or what guys typically do.

Get the right maps. You will figure out what to do. Camp on public, hunt in public. Don’t need an outfitter unless you want to hunt one of the ranches. DIY, you’ll be fine and more room to roam than they’d have you believe, even if the boundaries can be technical.

Start with onx maps. Search the county road and bridge website for that county in area 7... maybe converse and albany counties. PM me and I will offer my .02
