Going to new mexico with a unit wide 12 MB tag with an outfitter , first time elk hunting just curious of what you guys think of the unit be honest you wont hurt my feelings either way .Rifle hunt 17-21

Hunted it 2x. Vastly overrated. Sure a couple 400+ bulls get shot there every year, but the average bull is far from what the biggest outfits in the unit like to claim.

just depends what private you can get on. unit is mostly private.
