Quarantine in effect now

How long do you guys think this new 14 day self quarantine is going to impact things. I've got an antelope hunt on the 22nd of August and am hoping this thing will be over by then.

I'm definitely planning on still hunting, more concerned with flying into the state with a weapon if the Quar is still in effect in mid August. Unfortunately driving is not an option.

I’ve flown a few times during things it’s not been bad.
At least it’s not as bad as NY they have tracers who actually look into things quarantine. You get fined there on multiple levels.

it is ridiculous to a point because at some point freaking people have to be responsible. If your freaking sick or have symptoms stay home! Simple.

If they do like the gov of NY is checkling flight logs Dailey for people from states that are on NY qaur list you may get turned around or stopped and told to qaur the minute you touch down and step. Inside the terminal and yes NY is, actually Checking flight list don't belive Google it

The riots have everything to do with spike cases and the people in the state that keep it rolling damn well know it!

I’m guessing the quarantine will end sometime shortly after Election Day in November. In all seriousness, it is anyone’s guess. I was planning on joining my brother in law on his pronghorn hunt in NM in August. Hopefully stupid restrictions don’t mess that up.

Been reading up on this. Exempt is hospital workers, military etc. and people conducting business in NM. My business is to harvest antelope meat. If any of you fly in I would state that you are there for business. I did also read that there is a $100 fine for not wearing a mask in public. I will have a mask and my neck gaiter I wear for hunting to wear when getting gas or food. Has anyone hear heard of someone getting a fine for not wearing a mask in public in NM. Where I'm from the Karens of the world just shame the people for not wearing a mask, but there is no fine associated with the wearing of masks.

Not enough state police (department of public safety) to gestapo this policy. Best bet is large stores where crybaby Karen is at that issue tattletail complaints.

Small towns, most munciple police say whatever and 33 county sheriff's say MLG can go pound sand, so...

Towns to watch out for: Santa Fe, Toas, Las Cruces, Bernallio, Abq.

Health orders are updated every two weeks. Need to read the Emergency Health Act, but it's probably because there is a 30 day sunset clause for any one health "crisis".

Yes they have given fines but most officers have more important things to do and give you a warning

He is coming from Idaho and I live less than 5 miles from NM in El Paso. Hopefully the governor doesn’t do something stupid to limit hunters in 2020.

With the new order I’m shut out of fishing Elephant Butte. Rumor is people with Texas plates were banned from entering the state park 4th of July weekend. Shutting down the State Parks in April and May to locals did nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Even though I don’t think it is necessary to shut out none locals from fishing I can at least see that argument.

That would be great if she is forced out of office but I’m not going to be to hopeful. Politicians are rarely held accountable for their lying cheating ways.
Even if she is removed, NM will likely vote for the candidate with a “D” by their name. At least AOC or Omar don’t live in NM. We all think MLG is bad but it could always be worse.

That's a good question. If you're from NM then I wouldn't worry about it at all, but if you have an out-of-state plate on your vehicle then technically I think you're supposed to self-isolate somewhere for 14 days. Now to my way of thinking, being in the woods on a scouting trip is a very low-risk activity and it's hard to get more self-isolated than that. But what I think doesn't really matter here. We're still forced to reckon with the way the current whack job in power thinks, and she is the same one that said I wasn't allowed to camp on a WMA during my turkey hunt. So if you are a non NM resident, I think I would call the Santa Fe National Forest and get it from them whether you're allowed to be hiking around their forest without self-isolating first.

I have a 10 year old boy that is hoping to have his first big game hunt in October as a non resident. he will be devastated if he is unable to go on that hunt, I hope this all goes away by then.
