Well , the rut is sure starting to pick up around here ! Just a few daylight pictures of some bucks that have been dodging myself and the boys ...... so far !!! We’ve got 12 more days before we change gears and head west again , hopefully one will screw up !

Heading to Kansas in a month for the rifle hunt. I hope the fit in the bucks are a little less than last year. All the bucks we killed last year were broken up. Some worse then others but it would be nice to have some eye guards left on them. Hunting mule deer my whole life, I have always dreamed of killing a whitetail with big eye guards. I got half my dream last year with the other side broken off. I hope to finish my dream in a return trip to Kansas this year with a buck with big eye guards on both sides. All I have to say is whitetail must fight like crazy. One buck only had stubs but based on his stubs he was likely a big buck. He saved his life by breaking all his horns off. Can’t wait for some more delicious meat as well as the fun with friends.

They sure do fight like crazy ! A couple of the kids have what would be real nice bucks , but every single tine is busted off !

Man that looks like a cold day. We had gentleman’s weather in Kansas last year. I’m sure we won’t be so lucky two years in a row. Can’t wait for everything but the 14 hour drive and lack of mountains but The sunsets are amazing in Kansas.
