Congrats and awesome bull. How tough was the hunting and was there any sort of migration? I know on the late season hunts weather really helps and it doesn’t appear you got any weather by the photo. I almost put in for that unit with Josh but went in a different direction with all my points this year.

It was tough for sure. I went up 2 days before the opening October 1st. I knew right away that the migration wasn’t in play. Went home and drove back up November 14th. Killed my bull on Wednesday and took all day Thursday getting him out with the horses. The unit is nothing like it was for my buddies who hunted it 3 years ago.

Great bull! What unit was this? We were just up in 58 and the migration was clearly not happening yet.

Congrats! Awesome bull!
They just haven’t got the weather this year. I was in 51 and pretty disappointed with what I saw but that’s elk hunting for you. If you have weather it will be a great hunt.
