2021 ain’t over yet!

Well I am a glutton for the great outdoors and maybe one of NDOW preferred customers at this point. I managed to pick up a FCFS cow elk tag for 16. Excited to get out some more and hopefully get something for the freezer! Haven’t been to area to hunt but have explored it some between hot springing and surveying. YEEEHAW!

At me to the gluttony of punishment also! I watched a 212 ram tag pop twice yesterday at 5pm and again at 8pm. I don’t have the resources so somebody got lucky!!

Congrats man and should be a pretty fun hunt. Just seen a spike tag show up as well a few minutes ago in that area. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks everyone. I will definitely report back. I can’t even head out till the 13th which is good and bad. Gives me some time to e-scout and maybe a shift in the weather to push them low. Fingers crossed!

At least you’re close to town! I’ve seen a few people out in Spanish Springs post some good bucks in their yards recently

Hope for snow. Resident deer herds are few and far between.

I haven't spent any time in this unit hunting, but I'm experienced and glad my season isn't over yet. Wish I knew something about your cow hunt but never been down there either..glad to hear there are bucks in 021!

I guess I’m the one who got lucky! I grabbed it at 10:00 a.m today. Can’t believe it came up twice and twice it was let go! But I appreciate them letting it go! Still can’t believe it, I really thought I would never be able to go on a sheep hunt. Excited to give it a go!

Ruger, I hunted 212 last year late season. Actually just got my ram back from taxi two days ago. Let me know if you need any help or information. Very fun hunt.

It's looking like I picked the perfect week to freeze my a$$ off out there! I work nights so I wont be able to head out until mid day Monday. Hoping to beat the snowstorm and at least get into the unit and setup camp. If not I guess I can just stay in one of Austins fine motels

Hoping for this snow and more to come to move bucks into 021..the animals will stick out like sore thumbs!
