Merry COVID Christmas

Well I about took my thumb off With a high pressure hydraulic line two weeks ago , ended up in the hospital with two operations and 4 days in the hospital. My wife stayed next to me even slept next to me in the hospital for that time. The kids took care of the house and animals. The day before Christmas she came up with a little cough, So did my oldest daughter. Christmas Day they went to town and got tested, my wife tested positive, my daughter tested negative with two tests, youngest daughter tested negative. I have been out plowing and my son has been helping me, a lot of snow. I feel week from my accident still and developed a little cough, I really need to get stitches out of hand and do not want to drag this crap into the hospital with me so I just tested at home this morning and the test came up negative. The reason I’m writing this is to help anyone in the same predicament, my wife always masks up to go in stores or at work so do my kids, I do not, why, because I’m really sick of this whole mess. The symptoms seem to be Cold like, cough, sore throat, tired. I do not know how accurate these tests are. I think we will all get tested again through the drive up at hospital , if we can even get an appointment. Does my older daughter have a cold or COVID like my wife. Do I have a little cold, it’s so confusing anymore I do not know. We all have been vaccinated with the booster. No one seems to be real sick, I just feel like I don’t know the truth anymore and that’s how they want me to feel. I wish everyone good health and happiness for 2022.

The OMICRON variant seems to show symptoms like a cold. Given it's high infection rate, EVERYONE will get it.

Unless your wife is wearing triple panel surgical masks, she should toss the mask, Omicron is that contagious.

Man I winced at the thumb loss more that Wuhan. That has to hurt like hell

My oldest daughter came home for Christmas. She was with a group of people before and during the trip home. Several came down with "colds". 3 of the group tested positive to covid, and the rest tested negative, including my daughter. Same symptoms.
My thoughts are the tests aren't very accurate. Time will tell with one sick person in my house.

Let me know what I can do to help.
I have a couple a crews running around with snow blowers, shovels and tons of ice melt chasing down leaks and moving Ice dams,
I can send em over anytime.

10-4 on the confusion and what or who to believe!!
I’m down in Twin sitting in the waiting room at St. Luke’s getting another Ct scan on my lungs.

I would do a re-test after a few days. Our area here has been reporting large amount of cases for about 10 days now. I have had friends initially tested negative and a few days later test positive. There are a few testing for a third time if they can find a test. This world is messed up. You don't know which direction to go anymore.

Does the saying "sticks out like a sore thumb" hold true? lol

My son's family came home for Christmas. My grandson had a cold about 10 days ago and was tested for Covid. Test was negative. My son and his wife came down with the same cold about a week ago. we told them to come anyway. Sure enough, I have it now. just stuffy nose and slight cough. I'm not getting tested.

It will get better Hawk but at least it wasn't your trigger finger it could be worse.
My buddy got covid and got the vaccinations so they put him on that new drug that Trump got and he was better the next day. But he infected his wife and now maybe his kids as well.
