Yellowstone

I liked the biker segment as well. The problem I’m having is that there are 9 or 10 episodes this season I think, it started 3 or 4 months late I assume it has something to do with Taylor and the 2 other shows he is involved with. He’s spreading himself too thin and it’s starting to show. Another thing the violence is getting way out of hand and the cliff hangers there leaving you with has gotten out of control as well. Back in the day the shows like Dallas etc were 20 to 30 episodes not 10 or less. It’s getting to the point where I’m done watching the show came when Rip and Dutton turned on Lloyd even after all his time and loyalty with the Yellowstonewas lost because he was fighting with Walker who has only been at the ranch for a couple of years and here is Lloyd who has been there from the beginning to be embarrassed in front of the other hands to doing low man work has loss his respect with all the other hands. Who would stay after all that? I’m sure he’ll now want to get even with Rip and Dutton.
Anyway I’ll stick it out for the next 3 episodes for this year but it could be my last

what say you

That’s all part of the drama that makes it worth watching
You don’t like drama and cliffhangers this show isn’t for you

I totally agree here. A couple weeks back, I mentioned to my wife how much 'filler' he's now using with all the scenes of cattle drives, the show horses & stuff like that, just to fill time between another Beth rant & someone going to the 'train station.'

Well, shows don't align with our wants so that is the rub. The violence is way too much for sure. I think they could spend some time with catching a Grizzly, a big fish catching moment, maybe a rescue of a lost person just to have a mellow show or two. I do think it portrays the greed and dirty deeds that go on in real life.
I read there is going to be a prequel with Tim and Faith McGraw. Tim is cool but I'm not a fan of Faith.

Yuppers. They have been showing the trailer of "1883." McGraw plays Jamesd Dutton -- John's great grandfather. One of my fav actors, Sam Elliot, is also starring. It starts tonight right after Yellowstone.

As for the violence, it's trying to rival Longmire, which had at least one murder per episode.

I was trying to watch last Sunday’s episode of Yellowstone where they are incorporating 1883 into The Yellowstone story so now the audience is being distracted by a totally different show. Their doing flash back scenes to set a tone for why the Mr Dutton is the way he is! Then I see Jamie’s dad and girl friend‘s scene where his dad who’s been in prison for a very long time I assume and his girlfriend telling Jamie how to dethrone the Great Land Barren that raised him as his own. Jamie has been protrayed as this great Attorney/General that can see 10 steps ahead of everyone else now needing to seek the advise from his father that probably has a 8th education, See my point!? I turned it off right after that scene. It’s really tough having a series with 9 or 10 episodes its just as up setting as the last season of the Sopranos where it’s in two parts 9 months apart with the weird ending. It was good but not Great!

Joe,

Agree that snippets of the other series are annoying. Last night over dinner I mentioned to my wife that they need a new director/editor so everything isn't so chopped up.
And great granddaddy Dutton racked up more kills in one episiode of 1883 than there have been in all of Yellowstone. He had about five guys shooting at him for five minutes in the wagon chase scene & never had his hair mussed.

Also note that Sam Elliot's character owns a Winchester lever action that doesn't need to have the hammer back to fire or the lever worked to reload. My bride said I'm the only one that would notice such a thing.

Did You Want Alec To Play Their Part?

He Knows How To Pull a Hammer Back!

The sequel is called 1883 and started last Sunday my wife said it was really good. I haven't seen it yet but I record a couple of episodes and then watch as they always stop right on the cliff hanger part and I'm pissed I have to wait a week to find out.

I like Yellowstone and we started 1883. I agree the story lines in Yellowstone have gotten to broken up. They give a little bit then a character is gone for several episodes. I really only have two gripes. I am sick and tired of these plus channels. ESPN, Paramount, DIY and most every other network are moving their better content trying to squeeze every last dime out of us. Second complaint is how does that mutt faced Jimmy keep landing these hot girlfriends?

Maybe he has something in common with those horses he rides?‍♂️

Remember what the girl said to Jimmy though it was something to the affect of there’s only 3 guys around here and I already dated them or just one was dateable lol

Outdoor, different subject but, did you see Alec Baldwin saying how he loved the girl killed and her family and would go out to dinner with them all the time but NOW! The authorities must be building a case against him! SO NOW it’s I pulled the trigger back just a little then I asked her is that enough then pulled a back a little more etc and when I released the hammer it went off. “I just did what she wanted me too”! He probably should of had the NRA professionals on the shoot instead of M Fin the NRA! I think I guy is a Richard Head and he treats people horribly! I hope the family gets justice which ever way the scale leans

Joe,

Baldwin is a wingnut. I lost any respect I ever had, which wasn't much, after his tirades with his kid several years ago. I doubt he'll get any jail time, but he should.

So the old man still hasn't figured out who put the hit on him, Jimmy is in love again and we got to sorta see Beth's puppies, pink noses & all. There are a lot of loose ends that need tying up in the finale next week.

By far my least favorite season. The only thing good that can happen next week is Jamies dad getting shot. I predict Jimmy is going to wreck the truck with the million dollar horse driving back to Montana.
Yup, agree. I said it a couple times but there's way too much padding this season to eke out more episodes. The working horse bit last night was another instance.

I haven't watched the series, but I accidently came across this on YouTube. "I don't want you to leave, I want you to dig".
