KALIRADO ON FIRE???

Could see it from the house this afternoon. Tinder dry, houses 10ft apart, 80+mph winds. Bad combination. Last count, 600 homes.
 
Worst residential fire in Colorado history. Estimation of 600 homes at 5:00 PM and it’s still burning. The winds have died down with snow predicted for tomorrow. A terrible thing.
 
Checked with my son who is the firefighter. His last update said 80-100, gusting to 115mph. 30K evacuated, 600 structures lost, Target shopping center and a hotel lost. Still uncontrolled

That is unbelievable.....would think that was a hurricane.
 
Update: my friend who lived in Boulder and passed away last month has a son who lives there. They have gotten the family evacuated, but their house is at risk right now. What a crappy holiday this year is !!
 
It’s blocks from my brother in law house who’s dad just past on 12/19 and now he’s in Indiana for the service. Not good hopefully no one is hurt.
 
I would not be surprised that they come up finding bodies due to people refusing to evacuate. On every fire or flood I worked as LEO, we had people that flat refused to leave their homes. All we could do is tell them that if they get into trouble, the odds are we will not be able to come in and get them out and they were on their own.

These community fires are getting to be unbelievable. So many of these town/cities have grown up so fast, in these previous less inhabitited places. Can’t see these going away soon as our populations continue to blossom.

I can’t imagine the heart break the loss of an entire home must cause. Almost like erasing a families history. Very sad.
 
Be careful Eel. Those climate change hippies in your area will picket your home for posting that information that flys in the face of climate change idiots who think mankind can change our climate.

I was thinking the same thing blue...... and it might not hurt to put call in on JP too........ just in case that’s call for a motive inquiry.

Has anyone kept track of the typical reincarnation period.......

There are a handful that have cycled a few times, or so I’m told.
 
I just assumed DW was one of the two missing people in the fire. I guess he did get burned though.
