Antelope time

Years ago I started putting in for non res WY elk and thought even though I wasn’t really looking to hunt Antelope in WY because of where I live I kept putting in for them when I put in for elk. The elk hunt has come and gone but I still put in for the Antelope just because they were adding up. Now I have 11 points and don’t want to continue with them so I might as well use them. I’m really not to worried about finding a speed goat in WY but with 11 points I’d like to hear what some of you would do in this situation.

I would probably split them and take a kid or good hunting buddy with me. Just a thought.

Fremont, Carbon, Sweetwater or Natrona county would be my recommendation.

Yeah I would look at how you can split and get a kid, or a buddy into a 5 point unit etc. However there is something really fun about the top end unit hunt for lope.

Lots of us would love to split points with ya!
There are some top tier units that would eat up your 11 but it really depends on if you are Ok with hunting the next step down with a friend.
Any way you look at it Wyoming antelope are fun to hunt.

Eleven years is a long time to build antelope points. Don't cheat yourself out of a great hunt by sharing them with someone on here who promises you the world. I think 57 would be the place to cash them in on, but there are some other great units as well. Best of luck!!

I’m not looking to split the points I’ve got a family of hunters. I’ve hunted Antelope a few times in WY I was just curious what some of y’all thought. Goats in WY are like hunting coyotes here, they’re everywhere. Maybe not P&Y or B&C. Funny thing is I have been putting my wife in also and she also has 11 points, not sure if she can get away for a couple weeks this fall though. Thanks all.

With both of you having 11 PP, I would find another friend or family to go average 3 ways and hunt a 7 PP area. Lots of fun hunts out there with 7 PP. Maybe even get more than 22 to average with someone else having a few PP.
