I miss the Political Forum

Homer I agree with you. I also think there was members with thin skin that kept bugging Founder with complaints and he just got tired of being the ref for that forum. Otherwise I think he would have just ignored it. It was nice that members that did not care to see the posts in the political forum could just pass over that forum and just read the hunting posts.
RELH

I think it was a liability issue if someone on here comes in and makes a threat and makes good on it he could be held liable for letting them publish it on his site.
But I do agree with Beanman and Elk in that it kept the crap out of the other threads

Internet sites are NOT liable for the words posted by members/guests. Clear precedent regarding the current law(s) governing that subject.

BS

A local blog had the same issue. Conservatives and Liberals used to argue and fight all the time. Insults and name calling. The Liberal owner got tired of it and installed a Liberal moderator. She promptly banned anyone who had a different view, me included. It's nice and peaceful there now. It's getting that way on lots of social media. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube.

At least Founder stopped both sides. I give him credit for that.
