The sawtooth tags are way, way over hyped. They sell out because of there proximity to boise and some weird inclination that it’s some super unit because it sells out fast. If I were coming here from out of state it wouldn’t be in my top 5 tags I wanted. Your traveling any way so it being convenient like it is for locals doesn’t matter.

2020 I logged in early about 10 min after it opened. In 2021 about 15 min before go time. I did have my wife and son logged in on different computers and they were all 1600+ deep. I was about 600.

I love about 20 miles from the zone and run baits in it. But I’m sure you know lots more about it

I logged on 20 minutes early and was the 13,465 I knew I was screwed. Its happened like that for the last 2 years..

Does it actually matter how early you log in? Or is it randomized at the time purchasing starts?
Also, has anyone just gone to a retailer to do it with better luck? On brochure it says half are sold at retailers.

The 1/2 online 1/2 sold at retailers is for residents. Nonresidents can still buy in person, I’m guessing though that for most nonresident the feasibility of getting to Idaho isn’t worth it although I could certainly see more guys who live close to the border starting to do this in the future

NR are already doing it, sometimes standing in line at a vendor for hours and not getting a tag once they reach the register.

Anyone who logs in before the opening is put into a lottery. 2 hrs before or 1 minute before same chance into the lotto.
Like stated above I was logged in 30 minutes before and drew a 18k number
