How to hunt without trail cams

10 steps of how to put the hunt back in hunting:
1. Stop at McDonald's
2. Tie man bun
3. Drive truck/sxs on all roads
4. See animal from road
5. Range animal
6. Dial scope to 950 yards
7. Miss
8. Cry on MM how there are no bucks
9. Complain about how other guys hunt
10. Ban Trail Cameras

Determine the area, and species you want to hunt.
Go to the area as often as time will permit before the season. While there, hike and glass early and late (scout). This will familiarize you with the country, and the game.
When the hunt rolls around... hunt the area you have spent time scouting.
this is obviously impossible. ask Broadside on here, he'll tell ya

How? Did a trail camera get a tag and a gun and shoot a deer?
I see your point on this I truly do.
I love trail cameras but in all honestly something needed to be done..
we have been spoiled running them threw hunting season I love always knowing what time they come in to water or what trail they use the most so i can play the wind when I'm walking in on them! also how big a buck is in that area or bull it truly helps keep tabs on them with really any effort on our end...

That is why it's not fair chase anymore and This isn't about growing a herd it's about fair chase...they want hunters to go physically go and do that to give the animal more of a chance and make it more of a challenge.

I'm all in I think it's the step in the right direction.

Not directly but they have aided in the killing of a lot of animals that would have normally survived
Same thing goes for a, spotlight
People don't know what it means to actually HUNT anymore
Well I’m banning you from using your truck to get to the mountains. Can’t kill a deer if you can’t get to it. Fair chase is fair chase. If you use your truck to get to the mountains and you think trail cams kill deer then you are a hypocrite

Will you be the first one to step up and refuse to drive your truck to the mountain? Your truck isn’t fair chase. The deer have no chance. And, to be fair, unlike trail cams… trucks actually do kill deer.

You know you were even laughing when you typed that ridiculous analogy. You can’t hunt without cams. We get it. There are so many of these absurd threads now. Thanks Broadside.

Really did you type that just to be funny or are you really serious?
If there is a truck that does what a trail cameras do like I listed and there is one out there then sign me up I want one…

No in all Honestly you know it helps because I know it helps me and so does every other hunters that runs them
the problem here is admitting they do and the other problem is excepting the fact you can’t run them legally if you have a valid hunting license
sorry bud I have already admitted they do help me and I am excepting the fact I can’t run them during hunting season.

It’s all about fair chase

Lumpy.

Could you take Broadside and Travis out this fall? They have irrational beliefs that hunting MUST include SD cards.

Imagine the mind explosion when an older guy tells them about open sights. Or red flannel.

We dont have to use a, truck to get to the mountains. we ride horses into the mountains from the no public,Access private ranch my father in law owns here in.montana
But nice try skippy you have a, nice night

What are the reasons you use trail cameras? (Assuming you use them).
I have 4 trail cameras. One has bounced around the bed of the side by side for two years and I assume it hasn’t any life left. The others have sat on the shelf with good intentions of being set out but never get to go on any trips. I’m not a trail cam user. This rule change doesn’t effect me. Hunters are some of the most selfish people around. We want spots for ourselves, game for ourselves, trails closed for ourselves. We have allowed ourselves to be regulated into the ground all the while Fish and Game are exempt from holding up their end of the tax-payer paid bargain.

As the “public” and tax payers, we need to hold Fish and Game’s feet to the fire to fulfill their responsibilities to us and game animals.

How about instead of worrying about trail cam usage we instead just kick off all guides from hunting public land? If the logic is such that a trail cam can kill a deer then guides literally commit mass genocide every season.

How about we focus on the HUNDREDS of tags lost to auctions, special interest groups and “foundations”? Why don’t we make Fish and Game stop issuing tags at the expos until the game herds return to their required numbers?

The trail cam issue is all smoke and mirrors. And it’s working. You’re all playing into it perfectly.

I see... high fences don't kill animals with a gun, so thats Fair Chase. We're learning some stuff today boys.!
Do you think taking a picture and capturing/restraining an animal is the same thing? We are learning some stuff here. Try not to think too hard there bud. A thought of some value might just pop out.

Okay If this is the problem for you please show us the data to back this up.

You have commented on trail cameras a lot I'm finding it very hard to believe you don't run them....

But hey your first post should of said it don't bother me or effect me in any way so I'm okay with the ban

but you haven't you have been defending trail cameras on pretty much all of your post...

Show me the data that says trail cameras kill animals. Go ahead. Find it. You won’t. Your bootlicking love of over-regulating hunting is worrisome. But hey, you are one of those selfish hunters I mentioned before.

Find me one piece of evidence that even merely suggests a trail cam can pull a trigger or smack a deer going down the highway at 70 mph and I’ll flip flop on my position. Good thing for me that you can’t.

There are plenty of laws, rules and regulations that I support or don’t support that have no effect on me. My children go to school and I have an opinion on how they are treated. By your “it doesn’t effect me so I shouldn’t care” logic (or lack thereof) you should be okay if I kicked your kids in the mouth because it doesn’t directly effect you. Your lack of logic is moronic. Try a different argument. Maybe you’re just too poor to buy a trail camera or you were harmed by the local clergy at scout camp, but we all know you weren’t harmed by a trail cam.

You sure like to keep hammering home the point that you can’t hunt without trailcams. Othwrwise, you wouldn’t be on here fighting with everyone to prove they are harmless. Quite entertaining.

I’ve never said that one time. Do you need help with reading comprehension?

Well, here is something I never thought I’ve had to explain… more animals. I can’t dumb it down anymore than that. And, in case you’ve lived under a rock, we have less not more.

No need to get defensive. I’m just asking a couple questions to try to understand your point of view—which I don’t disagree with by the way. It seems like you’d agree that if the Fish & Game did things to help increase the population of animals, they’d be fulfilling at least part of their responsibilities?

People don't know what it means to actually HUNT anymore

So have millennial spotters working for rock n roll style outfitters...

Should they be banned as well?

My beef with trailcams is that the professional class uses them to pimp out and cherry-pick trophies. I’m jelly.

There, I reintroduced class warfare.

Hahaha touched a nerve read my post well it looks like you read between the lines. Did I say they pulled the trigger I never said they kill at all they target wildlife ? yeah.

I do not run trail cameras. I know you’re slow, but I was hoping you weren’t this slow.
So after all the post about trail cameras time and time again they Target wildlife...
you keep saying kill or they don't pull the trigger or we need to ban trucks and campers ect.
who is the slow one? it's okay i understand it's hard for you to except the fact that cameras are an edge and you do run them it's a given and you can't hunt without them period.

I understand that you are special needs and your ability to read and then comprehend is lacking… arguing with you is as effective as talking to a fence post. I do not run cameras. That means I don’t use trail cameras. And in case your third grade teacher didn’t tell you… that means I do not use trail cameras.

Still waiting on them stats…

Still waiting on them stats…
You show me that cameras don't help at all i need stats.

But that's the problem here sorry I told the truth about what they do, there is a few bitter people on here that didn't like it.

So why don't you ask Slam on here.

better yet ask the 49% of the hunters that were in favor of the Nevada trail cam season....

Here is some proof I live and hour and a half away...

I know personally what they do. I would of never found out these bulls where even there.

Tell me is it time stamp YES
Does this help me if they are coming in at night or early morning or during the day.YES
I have 1000's of these and no it didn't help me harvest.

But it did target those animals and this is what it's about.

I hunted those areas without really any scouting at all now take cameras away then what do i have then no pictures and no idea of where there at....

Is this fair chase no it's not and you know it.

What have you done for our
Travis
What projects have you done for wildlife! have you helped out in any way?
You mean all of the wildlife projects I’ve done both in and out of the dedicated hunter program? Why yes…. Yes I have! Thank you for asking.

But honestly your weird sycophantic obsession with me is getting weird. Let’s just end it here. Please don’t be that weird guy who can’t stop.

1. We don’t agree. Get over it.
2. I don’t run cams.
3. Your mom still doesn’t know you found he Wi-Fi password hidden in her underwear drawer.
4. Seriously you’re becoming a bit weird here. Let it go.

Call it weird call it what you want I don’t care.

Sorry my mom will never know what wi-fi is . bring my deceased mom into this really? Now i really know who you really are and now I really don't agree with you....

He’s not worth trying to have a logical conversation with, it’s been tried, he always brings children and underwear into it, it’s pretty weird.
