Elk noodle casserole

Make sure it's Roosevelt elk.....

Sticking with my one trick pony persona, I made this yesterday. My wife made a salad to go with it. Cook the noodles and the meat separately, make the sauce, put it all together and sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 20 min/375.

Melt a half cube of butter, add flour to make a rue. Add 1 cup half and half and 1 cup chicken broth and green onions. Simmer until it gets thicker. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Does that have a name??‍

The salad was for her. I ate the casserole right out of the 9X12 dish. Caveman style.

Not sure if it has a name, but it sounds tasty.
