So I bought this gun new or my dad bought it for me I can’t remember.
I pulled it out of the safe and ran the serial number to see what year it was made.
I then checked value. $400 to $500 seriously?
Mine probably has less than a couple hundred rounds though it but it’s lived it’s life in a leather holster that has rubbed the blueing a little in a couple spots.
I figured it was worth a $100 lol
I know that high value is probably like new but still had no idea

I have a Colt 1911 National Match pistol that was made in the 60's. I paid 450 bucks for it in the middle-late 80's. take a look what they are going for today on the used market in very good condition.
My wife bought me a Colt Diamond Back revolver in the early 80's for 300 bucks, used in excellent condition, and it has been a safe queen since then. Check the prices they are going for on gun broker. Quality guns can be a very good investment. I wished I would have bought a few Colt pythons in the 80's and have a 400% return on my money today.

Solid guns. Should see the price on mark 2 target competition models.

I have a Government issue Ithica 1911. It's way up there as well.

I’ll try to remember where it is. Lol. It’s been under a seat in something around here for over 40 years, but I can’t remember what. Them plastic grips are probably good as new though.:ROFLMAO:

I love beat up truck guns.

I’ve got a handful of nice 22 pistols, the Colt Ace in the box is worth I believe 4000 to 5000 now.
