Finally Elk Tag In Hand

After 18 years I drew my Arizona elk tag and now I have it. I want to make the most of it, but also have the goal in mine of having fun. I have hired an outfitter, been shooting the bow for a month and have lost 8 pounds. Also I have convinced my wife to go RVing in Arizona for the 3 weeks prior to the opening. I have been thinking about how great it would be to have the hunt filmed, I do not want to use a GoPro. Any suggestions? I might ask the outfitter if they could film.

If you want it professionally filmed I know a guy that does it professionally. That’s his job filming hunts.

I missed one year so I had 17 points drew 5B N as a nonresident going with TimberLand Lance Crowther. For the filming I am going to talk to the Outfitter to see if they can run the camera if I purchase one and have someone edit it later. Also, BradA thanks for the lead.

Lance is a good guy. Never actually hunted with him, but I've done a couple articles about his hunts. Good luck.

I have a bunch of our hunts on video. None professional, just a small Sony Handycam and/or some iPhone footage (esp. for PhoneSkope) carried by me or a family member. The magic happens in the editing. Sometimes it’s difficult to get good footage when trying to both mentor a kid and film, especially for kill shots. Having an entire film crew does sound less fun and expensive. One person (i.e., competent family member) dedicated to just filming would be cheap and work well. You can do your own editing to your preference.

On the other hand…if you’re dropping a bunch of money on an outfitter, maybe you have the money for a professional production and that would make it easier.
