Just wait and buy it as it becomes available in the coming months. Get on alerts at dealers like Midway etc when it comes in and they will send you an email when it arrives. You just need to move fast when you get the email since they sell quickly.

If it sells for the starting bid of $170 a pound ($850/5 shipped) and you load 105 grains by weight (150 gr volumetric grains), that's $4.14 per shot just for the powder! Ouch!

I"m very lucky that my pound of triple 7 FFFg is only $40 a pound (and that is an actual pound) Its all in stock around these parts. my muzzle loader eats it up and loves it. @elkassassin sent me his favorite load so I can lob shots from Northern Utah over toward the basin with some decent accuracy.

FYI, BH209 max load is 120 by volume (84 by weight), according to them.

I love it i buy stuff their all the time , especially guns , if a 10 ounce bottle came on the site i would pay 100 bucks and not bat an eye , to be honest thats the cheapest thing to buy when your spending 5k to 10k on guided elk and mule deer hunts , and thats cheap compared to 18k bear hunt that was advertised on here , so whats a 130 bucks !!

Been selling at $90-145 (including shipping) lately on GB so the OP seller is still high. Word on the street is Hodgdon may not be putting any out anytime soon. If that’s the case who know how desperate guys may be by Aug! Could easily go for $1000+ for 5 cans.
