whos the best ?

There are lots of guys (and gals) that can hunt on MM. Many I know and respect and would be proud to share a hunt or camp with.

But in all honesty, to most of us here, hunting is not a competitive sport. It's something we do for the joy and fun of the experience. Many of us do things different, hunt different areas, use different weapons, and more.

Good luck with your question. I doubt you'll get much besides getting heckled from the crew.

Kirt wrote the muley bible and allegedly had a shadowed past but he has to be on the Mount Rushmore of Muleys slayers. I’d say Ted Riggs and Buster Gubernator and no one can deny Ryan “ misdemeanor” hatch and Tory “trail cam” Brock to be up there as well.

He left out the chapter on garage sales and flea markets.

It's not me. I'm just a moron and an idiot.

Still trying to decide if this makes me a moronic idiot or an idiotic moron.

At least you have several hundred years to figure it out.

On topic: Founders the best…..and I’m not just saying that because he pays me.:censored:

I'm sure there are some top notch mule deer hunters on this site and I also know for the most part your not going to see a whole lot of their success splashed all over the internet...

There are some great mule deer hunters on this site. Some are very low profile and don't talk much or share pictures. What I have noticed are some of the guys that do well year after year don't chase the hottest, newest trend. They stick to what they know and fight through the ups and downs of older age class bucks being available.

This website has helped me connect with some awesome hunters, they know who they are, and they are some of the best out there for sure. Looking forward to this fall.

The guy on the right has a pending poaching charge against him…
What’s the pending charges and what state??? He’s the king of buy your way to the front of the line on the auction tags.
All I know is his Companies stock (MTH) dropped 50$ Since Christmas. Who knew chitty stucco Arizona tract houses weren’t going to be the rage in 2022.

Shot a deer on the wrong side of the border…

Hopefully they toss the book at his entitled big money AZ @zz. I’m sure he was having a long grind it out, D.I.Y. solo back country hunt, or I’d say throw the outfitter and entourage in there as well for criminal charges.

That term shouldn't even come in to play in any hunting situation.....as a hunter, you should know everything about what you are doing and where you are. If in doubt, don't do it. I think 98% here on MM will agree with me......after further thought....maybe 88%.
thanks !

The lack of omniscience is what keeps most people hunting.

True in the sense that you don't know if you will find your quarry, or hope to see your quarry in high numbers or possibly hope that you'll find the best of the best of your quarry, right? We are never guaranteed the outcome.

However, it's not hard to know exactly what you are doing while hunting in the field is it? It is knowing to stay within yourself and know your limitations? Those limitations may be distance to accurately shoot or a limitation of not knowing how to read a map in order to accurately define where one unit end and another starts. We all should know what we are doing out there, right?

We should try to know. But the reality is we make accidental mistakes. All of us. Sometimes our mistakes are directly attributable to mistakes or even purposeful actions of people we must share the land with. Sometimes our mistakes harm nothing. Sometimes our mistakes harm ourselves. Sometimes our mistakes are criminal.

His question is "is it accidental"? When you insert "accidental" in front of another word such as "mistake" it turns "accidental" from a noun to an adjective. The two meanings are completely different and don't address the same issue. Maybe his question should have been, "is it a mistake". If that is the question, your comments make complete sense to me.

The man made a mistake...but only he knows if it was an accident. I would imagine he'd say it was an accident to lessen the burden inflicted by the courts.

I’m not here to judge, but did he at least reach out to the part time, intern custodian at the cedar city dwr office. Asking for a friend.

1) Can anyone guess who this monster slayer is?
2) Ace Hardware in St. George isn't near the sporting goods central it was 30 years ago, but there are still Teddy Riggs mounts in there worth dropping in for a visit.
3) I get the most out of Ridgetops posts than anyone else's on here. Consistently successful and talented general unit hunter with down to earth posts and great photos. Yellum always had something positive and interesting and is still missed.

If I'm hunting DIY on public or private land, then I'm part of the 88%. The burden is on me.
If I have paid an outfitter thousands of dollars, then I'm paying for his knowledge, information, and guidance. He should know the boundaries for my tag. If my OnX says crossing this fence will put me on private ground, and he says "I've leased it," then I have to trust him. If not, I shouldn't have paid him.

the monster slayer is cameron !

Of course I am the best rifle mule deer hunter… I have been holding out for that 300” muley my whole life.

The endless wall space in my home tells the story that I am the greatest to ever grace this site!

One day my self control of passing 2 hundos will finally pay off with a stacked 300+ inch muley on the wall. Been making preparations for 40+ years…

I'm the best....in Muley Hunting & Bullshitting...got pics to prove both...(Bonaparte's retreat music in the background)

HERE'S A MAN for ya! I'm half horse, half gator, tougher'n a earthquake. I've got the prettiest gal, the fastest horse, and the ugliest dog this side of hell. I can out jump, out run, throw down, drag out and whip any man in old Kaintuck.

I told my pap and mam I was comin' to the mountains to trap and be a mountain man. Acted like they was gut shot! Sez, son, make your life go here. Here is where the people is. Them mountains is for animals and savages. I sez, Mother Gue, the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world. By God, I was right!

I might never see 'em but my common sense tells me the Andes is foothills and the Alps is for children to climb. These HERE is God's finest sculpturing. There ain't no laws fer the braves ones. Ain't no asylums fer the crazy ones. There ain't no churches 'cepten this right here. And there ain't no priests 'cepten the birds. By God, I are a mountain man and I'll live til an arrer or a bullet finds me and then I'll turn inter a post and moulder into the further buildin' up of these here mountains, the back bone of the world.
