Nevada results - what did you draw?

After 26 years of applying, I finally drew a Non Resident, unit 212, Desert Sheep!
Is there anyone that could recommend a Really good outfitter or Guide for This Unit?
Thanks,
KevinP
Congratulations looking forward to seeing you post your hunt on here! I applied for the same unit.

Cary Jellison, G&J outdoors. Killed a 180 ram in 068 several years ago. Lots of prescouting.

Wyoming
too many people
not enough antelope

treeagain.....your right, thanks for correction. I am old and misread unit. The 180 ram was killed in 268.

and R is for Redneck
Awesome rams in this unit (268). Looks like it's going to take me 35-40 points to draw it but that's all we put in for anymore. As much as I appreciate our desert rams-they still don't have the same appeal to me as Muley's or pissed off, loud, aggressive bull elk. Congrats 2 the tag holder for a desert ram in any unit!!

I got lucky and drew the only NR tag for the muzzleloader bull hunt in 111-115! Excited is an understatement!
Hey Hammit, congrats on that tag as it will be a fun hunt. One of our daughters drew the early rifle bull tag and we know this unit really well. If you are a NR and don't have much or any experience in this unit then you might want to contact Bruce from azbiggame-who responded to your post. He guides and pretty sure he killed a dandy in there the last year or the year before. I don't know Bruce but everything I have heard is-Good.

Congratulations to everyone that drew this year. No tags for me… I’m sort of dumbfounded how I didn’t draw an archery elk tag. I should have swapped around a few choices in order. Lesson learned, so hopefully next year will be the year.

Great draw, I had a archery tag there in 2020. Got some great information from some guys on here. Zim was one of them. Scrape together as much time as you can and be patient. It’ll be quite an experience for you!!! PM me if you’d like. Congratulations!

A whole lot of nuffin'. But I drew pronghorn and deer over the past two years, so I cannot complain. Here's hoping for elk, next year.

After 14 years of trying finally drew my buck antelope tag.! Nevada has been good to me the last 2 years (drew my archery bull elk tag last year)

Points! Alternate for a few and missed the 2nd draw due to a family emergency that took me out of town. May play the FCFS game, how I acquired my archery bull tag last year!

Congrats to all that drew and hope ya'll have amazing hunts!!!

I guess I was a couple minutes late. I have been keeping an eye on the list while I am at home. Bummer!!
If he just returned it when he posted, good chance it didn't come up. It is random. They don't immediately come up when returned. Anytime within 24 hours of being returned they will show up.

Not sure I'd want to burn my 9 points on a ML tag. Time to do a bit of research. :)

I definitely wouldn't burn it on area 13. Not sure where you are located exactly, but if something like area 22/23/11/24 came up sure but definitely not area 13 right now. It is really beat down.

It's close to home (9-10 hour drive) but not sure if it would be worth it with only a month to prepare. Only 2 tags given out to NR so either good area or low deer densities.

Not the area it used to be. I've been there twice recently and have a lot of friends who hunt it. Low numbers and lots of smaller bucks. Not a great success rate. ML probably a bit better than ALW but still, I wouldn't waste points on it.

I spent 2 days scouting (FCFS tag a week before the hunt last year) and 6 days hunting (I've hunted the area before that as well). Largest buck I saw was a good sized 3x3. Many people I spoke to said the same thing. Few guys I know took small bucks.

I scouted the unit heavily, saw over 50 different bucks over multiple days looking this year. Only turned up 1 that looked older class; A 27-29 inch 3 point. Although he was big enough to shoot, he was not big enough to put all my eggs in 1 basket for him.
