2 weeks ago I was presented a last minute opportunity to jump in on a Saskatchewan bear hunt with Cody Robbins/Live 2 Hunt Outfitters. We had an amazing week of bear hunting with some pike fishing thrown in as well. I killed a giant bear they had dubbed the heart bear, and had been trying to kill all season, 5 minutes into my first sit. The other 4 hunters all killed really nice bears as well throughout the course of the week.

Thank you guys! It was an amazing trip! It was fairly low key, and laid back, but it was one of the funnest trips I’ve been on.

Thanks guys! He was a hair over 7’ with the cape tubed out. He’d probably be closer to 7 and a half than 7 if he was all layed out, but that’s just a guess. His head was 19 6/8” if I remember right. We thought he’d be close to 21” before I skinned the head out and started cleaning it up. I probably cut close to 10 lbs of meat off the skull, and it ended up being a lot smaller than I expected, but I’m still very happy with him. He’s almost a foot bigger than my Montana bear from last month, but they had almost the exact same size skull funny enough.
