Rambo Strikes Again

The statement was that citizens should have the same firepower as the Government.

I don't believe that was ever the intent of anything and its not going to happen.

Let me know how that purchase goes for an ICBM, Nuke, Cruise Missile, etc.
whatever....

I like Bernie, wish he was younger. He would have beat the former president.

That's different Bess......Iran will be nice with them. Buzz's choice of president says so....
Is that what he says.

I can not believe that BuzzH still believes in Biden and what he says. How many promises does Biden break before people loose their ignorance and no longer trusts in what he says. Too many times has Biden said one thing and turnaround and does something else. How many lies must he say before BuzzH wises up and figure out that Biden can not be trusted to speak the truth.
As for being outright stupid, Biden takes the first prize award. Biden goes on video tape and admits to bribing a foreign leader into firing a prosecutor that was investigating Biden's son and company. Biden admitted to a violation of U.S. Gov. code because he wanted to play the "big man" to reporters that video taped him admitting to the bribe and people still defend the demented crook we have for our president.

I can't believe RELH would bring up lying when his pick is the king of all lying liars.

Hello pot, meet kettle.

"The election was stolen!".

I bet RELH even believes the big lie even though over 60 court cases have proven otherwise.

You going to release the kraken RELH or put up a link to 2000 mules, ?.

Maybe you can get the my pillow guy to hold a symposium.

It was the full intent of the 2nd amendment for the people to have the weapons available to them capable of overthrowing a tyrannical Government.

They could never have foreseen the direction weapons have gone. If they could have I doubt they would want the average citizen to own nukes let alone the whackos that are responsible for some of these shootings.

It will never be interpreted now, to allow the public to own nukes, etc..

Anyone else notice how the same guy@Buzz(yes I know he blocked me?) was the same guy telling everyone how the right wing, religious fanatics overthrew Roe, despite abortion NEVER once mentioned in the constitution nor, does anyone believe the founders would have supported it, NOW is using original intent to favor banning certain guns?

I'm always amazed how quickly guys like him jump back and forth from original intent whenever they feel.

Why it's almost as if, he simply wants to play both sides and actually doesn't have a belief.

He's happy to sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor knowing full well his vote for Bernie, meant zero. Just like his vote for Cheney will.

I was told by a few in this thread that because the shooter had an evil black rifle the response was different. Not because the cops were to blame for failing, it was a GROUP of cops, who couldn't stop the threat because "an AR".

I guess ONE 22 yr old didn't understand that "shitty wages, and disrespect ain't worth risking their lives".

Even better, the mall ownership pointed out the 22 yr old "broke mall rules". Yet ANOTHER gun free zone.

so is this the standard for "high power" ? still looking for that so i know what to ban. nukes, cruise missile, AR 14 with a 100 clip magazine all the same thing i guess

No, I didn't block you.

Hoss has the honor of being the only person I've put on ignore.

As to your post, how many times do I need to say it. I'm not in favor of banning any firearms.

But, its outlandish to claim that a citizen should own a nuke, a cruise missile, an ICBM, etc. because of intent of a Constitutional Amendment in a time when cannon's and muskets were the technology of the day.

Its ridiculous to even consider that if the Founders new these types of weapons would exist one day, that they would have found it a good idea, or been comfortable with, a private citizen having one in their back yard.

As to RvW, its the disregard for nearly 50 years of case law that I have a problem with, and activist judges reversing that case law.

It's outlandish to believe the founders would have found it a good idea and been comfortable with:

Abortion, porn, open internet, activist journalism, foreign entanglements, massive Federal Government, etc, etc, etc.

The right to bear ARMS.

It doesn't say the right to bear smooth bore flint lock muskets. Arms.

Private folks owned cannons, which, were the equivalent of Nukes for the time period.

Further. If you own a nuke, and aren't a mass murderer, who cares? There was a air show at HAFB a few weeks back. Guess what. Private ownership of war planes.

I'd rather have Buzz or Grizz with an ICBM any day, than a gang banger with a musket.

As to the block, I guess his tactics have changed. Usually he reports guys to the owners of forums demanding we be reined in.

@elkassassin

@Tristate

And I'm sure a handful of the dudes in the Wyoming forum as well

Biden sucks but he's 1000 times better than Trump. you pizz and moan about how awful your miserable little lives are since your Fuhrer got the boot. but anyone with an IQ over 20 knows it would be a hell of a lot worse with an orange dictator. suck it.

If the weapon made no difference why did 350 cops sit outside on their cell phones for hours ? and why did they wait until a rifle safe shield showed up before entering and killing your boy ? just answer the question your nonsense is growing tiresome.

I dunno about Uvalde- but the top dogs are usually voted into office. No training required.

After that, it's whether the officers are willing to break the chain of command when bad decisions are made.

I can see the troops training module now:

"When to Ignore the Leader: 7 Scenarios to be Insubordinate"

That said- the officers on the ground would have served the children better by taking over from colossally bad decisions above them. You cannot "teach" that though.

BTW- at least one officer was disarmed by other officers because he did want to go in. Who knows how many more were in that boat.

Leadership isn’t taught to the officers? I find that hard to believe.
Read hikehunts post above.

What I'm saying is if there is a dumb@$#% in charge he can stop the properly trained staff from doing their job and it looks like that's what happened.

If the man in charge said give me 5 guys to go in he would have got 50 to volunteer line up and go in instantly. But he has to show that confidence and leadership. If he's peeing down his leg then it will have an opposite effect on his staff. They will then be filled with fear. Not all of them obviously but they can and sounds like did stop those from taking over the scene.

The military and police are most effective when properly trained folks are told what to do by people who are overly confident and aggressive, it creates a confidence and attitude that pushes fear out just enough for overall success.

Leadership is the bottom line of what went wrong here IMO. There wasn't 300 to 400 officers standing around afraid of one Cuck with an AR15.... of course your entitled to your wrong opinion too though...;)

Huntindad4, I have to agree with you. From the information put out so far, this was very poor leadership that bordered on outright malfeasance.

Leadership is not a characteristic reserved for seniority or rank. It is an individual quality, and it can be taught.

Nobody there had any, and it is inexcusable no matter the amount of rationalization.

Everyone in the chain of command should be tossed on the bbq IMO.

What Homer said.
No, I meant what I said - CAN (and is) taught all over the world.
I just can't let that lie. Ya, leadership training exists. Ya, it's taught all over the world.

People who CAN lead did NOT become leaders through training. You have to have leadership traits to begin with. Then, you have to be given opportunities, and with that comes experience.

GOOD leaders have copious leadership experience. Training? Sure, it helps you improve as a leader, but in NO way makes you a leader.

The only place where people believe that is in federal bureaucracies. And we all know how well that works out.

Can you imagine it? 5 guys with no leadership experience, but one guy took a course? Maybe he stayed at a Holiday Inn too.

No, I meant what I said - CAN (and is) taught all over the world.

The excuse that there weren’t any ”leaders” in 350 people is bullchit.
I never said there wasn't any leaders in 350 people. There also wasn't 350 cops standing in the hallway right outside the door. The ones who weren't standing right there may have believed it was being handled, may have even thought the gunfire was the good guys engaging the dirt bag.

There is an incident commander and if he was quelling any action to stop the incident he is culpable. Probably had those taught leadership capabilities you speak of.

I'm not denying any other culpability at lower levels, I'm sure there is. But all 350 officers did not have the opportunity to stop it and choose not to do so. They are not ALL cowards as is being implied.

If it is accurate that officers were ordered to stop and disarm officers that were trying to enter then that is disgusting to say the least.

I'm all for BBQing every last one of those in any position of power and those who may have stopped and disarmed officers willing to break command and go in and I can get on board with chastising anyone of lower rank who was close by that classroom and chose not to break command and enter.

The whole thing is terrible and I cannot imagine being there and doing nothing. There is NO EXCUSE or rationale for the way it transpired.

If you need a machine gun and body armor to face crying parents, YOU'RE A COWARD.

In a system of law and “order” very often the natural leaders could and would lead but the “order” trumps the natural leader.

During a law and order event the assigned leader will often prevent the natural leader from a better outcome.

I’m guessing the natural leaders were trumped by the assigned “leader” and the natural leaders commitment to law and “order” gave us the outcome we got.

Probably had to be there to understand…….. but somebody screwed up……. That’s the bottom line and it won’t be the last time, no matter how much training, leadership or otherwise is provided and received.

If you need a machine gun and body armor to face crying parents, YOU'RE A COWARD.
Sorry I didn't realize all of the cops who weren't inside being cowards were outside being cowards.

You must have been there, please tell the whole story...

It can't be taught....to someone without the core required.
Those people usually aren’t cops.

History is replete with examples of “ordinary” men and women who were thrust into extraordinary circumstances, and rose to the occasion. Military academies all over the world teach it extensively.

How do you explain that there were apparently none here (except maybe those forcibly detained)?

I agree that a few people lack the basic courage to respond to an emergency, but far more can be taught how to. Seen many first-hand examples over my career.

There are numerous examples of profesions where what you guys are calling leadership is required. Pretty much anything that involves the safety of others, like flight attendants and cops. You can make your own list.

I’m not buying that the cops there weren’t trained how to do their job. Unless they are trained to stand around down there.

And I have no clue about the federal world, except the guys I used to look for were always “on travel, on training, or on leave”.

Fair- I don't consider that "leadership", as much as taking the initiative and having the courage to do so. An individual can do that without leading anyone. I just don't believe we can impugn 300 cops because they didn't receive some training, or didn't get paid enough, or whatever reason people use to justify lack of action. Maybe you agree with that.

I think we both agree that leadership/command was the primary issue. Those in charge did not handle it even close to right, and then in the ensuing chaos, unfortunately, nobody was able to break through the bad decision in time to make a difference.

I tend to agree with Tri on this one.

However, I heard an interview with a Telemundo reporter who pointed out that due to Uvalde bring in the heart of Brandon's open border effort, there had been 50+ intruder/lockdowns at that school in 3 months. Seems there is a illegal running from the law issue(shocking I know) That might be at least a partial reason for lack of urgency. Of course once they heard gunshots, the urgency should have ramped up

I have an honest question and it would be nice to receive some honest answers .

Let's imagine you and your co-workers are at work/job site. Yall watch Shotgun Willy go running into the school and hear gunshots. You retrieve a fully automatic weapon from your vehicle and a couple of magazines. Suddenly your boss grabs your shirt and tells you, "If you run into that school don't bother ever coming back to work again."

Do you go or is your job just too important?

You go. Of course.

But was that the scenario? Or was it more like this:

When the boss grabs you, he says: "that dude has hostages, we need to negotiate with him- if you go in there, they all die".

I'm not saying that is what happened, but I do fear there was an element of that flawed thinking at the scene.

Nothing I feel more comfortable about than "ya'all" heading into a classroom full of kids with a fully automatic weapon trying to take down shotgun willy.

Ever heard of collateral damage and being killed by friendly fire?

Hope "ya'll" have good insurance and no assets to be sued for. Playing dirty harry might take on a new meaning while you're spending time in prison as well.

Unbelievably stupid question.

Ahh Buzz, I really missed ya

I wouldn't go in with a fully automatic weapon, true enough. I have no idea how to use one effectively. Better question is- in the moment, if you were armed with a gun you were familiar with, and thought that you could do something, would you?

Whether you like it or not, I think most people would. I would personally suck at it, and it probably wouldn't end well for me, but I would hope in the moment I would do what I could.

The question is more about resolve and courage, not about effectiveness. But then that's a little nuanced for some.

I think Tri was getting at why didn't they go in. Not you, not me, but them. I don't agree it was lack of courage. I think it was bad leadership.

That's right fellas. A bunch of people are going to die. Including anybody going to help. No parades after it's over. Maybe you get lucky and get a nonprofit to pay for your wheelchair and a lifetime supply of bags to crap in. No "attaboys". Worst case scenario is a body bag and your kids growing up without a father. Best case scenario, fewer dead kids, you looking for a new job, and an internet lynching.

You thought I offered up a good deal???? Hell no. I gave you a spit sammich and asked if you would bite.

With all your crying I can tell I have 2 no go's.

Really not a stupid question!! Something everyone should think about. I am all for trained people to have firearms. But when it comes to home defense in the middle of the night most do not realize how dangerous a firearm can be to other family members and neighbors if you miss the assailant. Hell even a pass through can hit one of your children in the next room. In close quarters I prefer a good sharp knife.

We dont as I read your take now. Was misreading it before apparently.

What happened to the video of the cops all running in the hall AWAY from the sound of gunfire?
What happened to the video showing the cops casually standing in the hall after they heard shots fired and one of them casually using the hand sanitizer dispenser?
I saw that video only once and now it’s not being shown.

Ok yep i get it. You convinced me, you are a total chicken ****.

But thats ok. This is America. It takes all kinds. Even "men" like you.

And dont worry big guy, if and when the **** hits the fan around you, you are more than welcome to hide in safety with the women and children. At least the ones not being shot.

That would be a good time to further pontificate about your assets. Because obviously that is what is important to you.

Somebody will probably bring you a blanket too.

The Uvalde shooting kind of reminds me of modern-day forest fire fighting. When a fire breaks out, (90% which are human caused,) instead of everybody rushing in to squash it before it gets out of hand, the first thing we do is determine whose jurisdiction it is. We can't be stepping out of bounds. The next step is to establish a command center and send up a spotter plane to check the progress of the fire and possibly calling in a retardant drop if the weather is perfect. This could take a couple hours. By then it's too hot to send in ground troops so they back off and start the evacuation process and pick lines to start back fires and hope they hold. This could be the next state over.

Then some Tog says we need to ban the possession of lighters and matches.

Next thing you know Brandon is making a Red Flag Climate Emergency speech, telling us if everybody bought an electric car, we wouldn't have this problem. And such is life the new world order.

Buzz would first call the HR department to check for proper paperwork. Then he'd contact a Union rep for the specifics of his contract and whether they include facing an armed attacker.

He'd then call a lawyer to clear liability. Then call the pension manager to check if the pension was protected.

He'd then need OSHA certified footwear, eyewear, hearing protection.

After checking the clock to see if he was on break, or lunch, and after a safety meeting, he'd walk into the school, being aware of tripping hazards.

Buzz is the type who would sit around listening to kids getting mowed down "waiting to be told what to do"

Don't Tell Me Brandon Isn't VAXXED to the Ass!
Maybe he isn’t. Brandon, dr fakey, even Barry O and the rest of our rulers all have had the vid now. I suspected there “vaccines” were probably just saline. Their not going to shoot themselves up with the same poison they were pumping into the peasants. It was never a vaccine

The way Kathy Hochul worded that release is a flat out invitation for left wing zealots to protest at his political meetings. She did everything up to the line stopping short of inciting a riot while hoping for a riot or disturbance to upset his campaign.
This may backfire on the two face Democrat witch.

If she broke the law, she can sit in the jail cell next to Trump's for all I care. I have no loyalty to her, I know nothing about her.

I've never tried to justify a person's behavior by pointing to another's prior behavior. That is squarely the domain of the right and FNC's viewers trying to equate everything to Hunter Biden and, now, Nancy's husband.

That's a spin.

What "the right" wants is a single set of rules.

If youre a leader, President or Governor and your words(tweets) are used as an excuse for violence, and you are liable. Then that rule should be followed in the Sanders case, and now Hocul. And, to be fair, a large handful who ran their mouths, only to have a wack job caught at Kavanaughs house. If words make someone "unfit for office", because a follower takes things to the extreme, than that standard needs to be across the board.

The double standard is what irritates folks like myself.

Maybe he isn’t. Brandon, dr fakey, even Barry O and the rest of our rulers all have had the vid now. I suspected there “vaccines” were probably just saline. Their not going to shoot themselves up with the same poison they were pumping into the peasants. It was never a vaccine
You do realize they can (and do) measure the antibodies that result from the vaccine?

You would be straight up famous if you could prove the pharmaceutical firms fraudulently took taxpayer money and sold us saline solution instead of covid vaccines.

But you can’t. It’s just another chit-wipe across your mental outhouse :ROFLMAO:

And I mean that in the nicest metaphorical way as I agree with about 90% of what you say

They have immunity and Pfizer has it's records sealed for 70 years, so that would be a tough one

So, you believe that nonsense?

Not a single person in those organizations with a conscience……yeah right

I believe the FDA combined with Pfizer wanted to slowroll R&D releases? Yeah, so did a federal judge.

Do I believe Pfizer's had a history of making bank by misleading consumers about their drugs. Yup, this them paying the largest ever fine because of it.

I enjoyed Hawaii, so for me getting the jab was worth it on that account(inlaws probably won't have another 50yr anniversary).

But no, I don't believe for a second, that jab was 96% effective. My proof? Covid still exists.

That wasn’t the point. In your efforts to argue about virtually everything, you get a little dramatic sometimes.

I’ll take it as a no that you don’t believe the drug companies sold saline solution as alleged, rather that you were just hiding behind your army of straw men again.

I never said they sold saline to the public. Read it again, your mental toilet must be clogged. I said our supreme leaders took saline and pumped garbage into the peasants. I have no idea what the “vaccine “ is, but I know one thing, it sure wasn’t a covid vaccine

My company just mandated masking up again. Yeah, looks like the vaccine isn't working...
Literally every person I know that got the “vaccine “ has gotten Covid at least once and most twice. There was one guy, close friend actually, that still hadn’t after all this time and I was beginning to think he was immune shot or no shot, but he just got it last week.

What’s the term? “ the science is settled!!”

You didn't say "garbage," you said, "poison."

____________

Hoss, I feel like I'm watching your radicalization unfold over the last several months. You went from being reasonable to now interpreting world leaders gathering in Switzerland as being proof of some global elite conspiracy, claims of false flag shootings to be somehow justified by stupid policies from decades ago, and a liability waiver signed by Trump for vaccine makers as evidence of some nefarious conspiracy to inject unsuspecting Americans with some unknown substance.

You have absolutely no evidence of any of that! You find a random article of something unrelated or tangentially related and then somehow convince yourself of a connection that there is simply no evidence of being true. You're making crazy mental leaps that you just can't justify.

JP has always been crazy, but I feel like I'm watching you suit up and head over to the crazy person dugout to join the "Everything's A Conspiracy And The Lack Of Evidence Is Exactly The Evidence I Need" team.

Boy, that is some twistin there. Or their, or whatever.

Here's one for you. My 90 year old MIL who is unvaccinated has to be tested before her doctor will allow her into his office. If she got vaccinated, come right on in. So she has to drive to another town, get tested, then she can see her doctor.

For what I think started out about the little low life scum shooting kids. This thread has about covered most all the top political topics. Have you guys left anything out that you want to hash out?
??

Does make for some interesting reading on how some see the world.

Rigggghhhhht.

You spend too much time on fakebook. You really that gullible? I guess fakebook is geared to the low information part of the population.

This is a classic example of your aversion to "facts", you get your "facts" from meme's. As pathetic as it is sad.

Full Story

In the aftermath of many shootings, Democrats renew public calls for gun control, as they have in the aftermath of the recent mass shootings in Ohio and Texas.

That demand was notably more tempered after a 2017 shooting that targeted Republicans during a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia. The gunman shot and injured four people, including Louisiana Republican Rep. Steve Scalise, who was critically wounded.

But it’s not the case, as a viral meme on Facebook claims, that “not one Democrat called for gun control” following the shooting.

The day after the June 14, 2017, shooting, former Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords — who was shot in the head in 2011 and advocates for gun control — wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post calling for lawmakers to address gun violence.

“We know, as always, that no one law could prevent a shooting like this. But we also know that we must acknowledge a problem: an unacceptable rate of gun violence in this country,” she wrote. “And we must acknowledge that a deadly problem like this brings a responsibility to find solutions.”

Virginia’s then-Gov. Terry McAuliffe, also a Democrat, said during a press briefing the day of the shooting that “we need to do more to protect all of our citizens.”

“I have long advocated — and this is not what today is about — but there are too many guns on the street,” he said, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. A state gun rights group criticized McAuliffe for “[n]ever missing a chance to push his gun control agenda.”

Democrat Dannel Malloy, the governor of Connecticut at the time, called the shooting “a reason why we need, quite frankly, and I’ll say it, saner gun laws in America.”

Still, the response from gun-control advocates in Congress was noticeably quieter than it had been compared to other high-profile shootings — which some attributed to the politics of the situation. The shooter, who was killed by police, expressed anti-Republican views before the attack. Congressional leaders were taking efforts to demonstrate unity.

The “tone was different than after past tragedies,” an ABC News article observed. “There appeared to be a sensitivity that it was not the appropriate time to fight with their colleagues over policy.”

There were subtle references to the need for gun safety, though.

“This kind of mindless violence must stop, and I’m dedicated to doing all I can to putting an end to these senseless tragedies,” Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, of California, said in a June 14, 2017, statement. Feinstein routinely introduces measures to ban assault weapons.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — who was the Democratic House minority leader at the time — held a press conference the day after the shooting, in which she referenced the people who “lose their lives to gun violence in America every day. Within many families and communities across America, the anguish that we are feeling personally in Congress today is altogether too familiar.”

Answering a question about political vitriol, Pelosi at one point referred to inaction on the issue.

“I think our energy should be used in our thoughts and prayers for Steve Scalise and Mr. Mika, and that’s really where our hearts are right now,” she said. “It’s a question of gun safety that, you know, has never happened. Little babies, little children in kindergarten, were massacred and nothing happened.”

Sen. Chris Murphy, a staunch supporter of gun control and Democrat from Connecticut, wrote in a June 15, 2017, Facebook post that “we are becoming massively desensitized to the carnage.”

“What does it say about us as a country that we can so easily move on from such a seemingly cataclysmic event? Are we so jaundiced to gun violence and mass shootings that it only takes us twenty four hours now to revert back to business as usual,” he said.

He then made clear that he would continue his push for gun control: “But after tonight’s game, I’ll get back to work. Because until the laws of this country change, the slaughter — and the risk of normalizing it all — won’t stop.”
