You can hunt any unit from July 1, 2022, thru June 30. 2023

No hounds or baiting just luck out and see one within range!! haha

I bought 1 again for this year, yesterday morning.

Anyone else do this tag?

You guys are talking about the spot and stalk tag. A good idea to have that cause you never know when you cross paths with a lion.

I picked one up this year. No tag in my pocket last year and I seen a cat. It will probably never happen again but at least if it does I will be ready.

Yep. Buy one each year just in case. Cougar is on the bucket list and taking just one off the mountain I hunt will help some. One less cat and hopefully a few more deer.

I looked into getting the Bear equivalent tag, but it is too restrictive for low number of Quota bears harvested.

There was a thread on here about a guy that got 1 with the Bear tag last year and it was a Toad of a bruin.

Was informed of this OTC tag today after watching a lion chase off 6 bucks I was videoing this morning. Got it mostly on video and posted in the General Hunting forum. In any case, went home and bought the tag.

I watched this guy for over 30 minutes from over a mile away on the muzzleloader hunt last year. According to some of the guys on the other thread, I should have been able to easily smoke him from there with my high powered CVA Accura with a 10X scope. ?

I'm off to above Flaming Gorge next week scouting for the bow elk hunt, and I'll be strapped/10mm and my Cougar tag with me.
