Unit 66 mule deer

I have a couple sons I’m taking up to Idaho this year in unit 66 for mule deer. What would you guys that know the area say we could expect for a hunt? Lots of people? Deer numbers? I’ll go up and scout it out before we hunt it, but just getting a feel for it in general. My sons won’t be picky at all size wise just getting them out on a hunt. Thanks

Used to be premium mule deer country. Elk have taken over. Low density deer numbers. I honestly don’t know why they continue a general hunt in that unit. Lots of side by sides, lots of people. Good luck

? thanks. It was about our only option kinda close to home so we went for it.

Thatguy, I'm in a very similar situation for this year. It's our first time in the area. It was my third choice and all that was left after the Non-resident online waiting room war.
