Sometimes you can catch a big mack off the bank while fishing for bows and cutts at the Gorge. My brother came for a visit from Colorado a couple weeks ago and managed to crank in this 17 lber after a 20 minute battle. He's 38" long and waiting for you to catch him again!! He could be a 20 lber today!!

Man, I've caught some nice macs in Lake Tahoe, but I've never been to Flaming Gorge. Beautiful fish there!!. I'll have to make a trip up to the "Gorge" to land a lunker!!

That picture is clearly photoshopped!! There is no white caps on the water. ??? congrats on a great fish and having a non windy day at the gorge
A little wind seems to help the fishing at the Gorge, usually. You just have to not say that word when you're out there. No matter the situation, you NEVER wish for a slight breeze on Flaming Gorge.

This is included in the "Be Careful what you wish for" department!

NOT good to hold a fish by the gills if your going to release the fish, it will die in a few hours
No gills were harmed during this release. A hand between the gill plate and the gills doesn't harm the fish if the gills are left intact.

Thanks for your concern.
