We will be headed that way in two weeks. I do love Wyoming in September!

We hope to find a couple of nice antelope, sleep under the stars a few nights, and maybe catch a some fish. I can’t wait!

I always approach hunting trips like vacation and am happy to take a few minutes out of my time there to see something cool. Are there any spots I need to visit or things I need to see while in the area? Also, if anyone knows of a super camping spot, I’d love to hear it. We plan to be completely mobile and just set a basic camp at night and pack up and hunt at daybreak. Easy enough to just pick a spot and camp by the truck but if anyone knows of any great places, I’m open to suggestions.

Going to be chilly at night be prepared.
Good luck!

Maybe camp up higher on the rim looking down at your area.
We've found big, black jade cinders out in the basin and old brass from years gone by.

Thanks wytex. I have the warm bag packed! I’m actually looking forward to the cool nights. I’ve been up on the rim once looking around. I had not thought about camping up there. That is a great idea.

Looking forward to antelope, trout, clear views, and the smell of sage brush!

Be there in a few days!

What's the size on the antelope. Any pics? I used to hunt 32 about 10 years ago but quit to gain points in a better unit. Cashed in my points this year and looking for an easier to draw unit instead of waiting 10 more years.
