If they catch the person, they should be treaTed as if they had poached the animal under the laws of that state. Stealing someone elses trophy, It doesn’t get much lower than that.

Damn, can't imagine how I would feel coming out the next morning and finding your trophy bull of a lifetime missing. downright scoundrels! hopefully it turns up and the rotten bastards are brought to justice.

In the comment section of this YouTube video, an apparent employee of the hotel suggested she had knowledge that the head/antlers have now been found at a taxidermist:

Hopefully that’s correct, but I haven’t heard anything about it other than that comment. I wouldn’t expect someone to run antlers straight to a taxidermist after they stole them, but I could be wrong.

We Had a Smart Poacher A Few Years ago That Dropped a Poached Buck Off at a Taxidermy!

Ya!

He Got Caught!

The Sad Part Is The Buck Was Un-Replaceable & He Got His Hands Slapped!

Was that the rabbi buck? For some reason I feel like I remember that being the case.

Didn't the Kifaru guy get his elk stolen too? In Lander of all places?

Be careful out there folks....thieves everywhere these days.

I don’t think “smart poacher”is how I would describe him.
I would describe him as a DAMF… just saying.

Lander of all
Places? One thing I can tell you from living in Lander for a couple
Years is the crime here is worse than we ever thought before moving here…

I think a lot of people, especially long time residents, think that living in small town Wyoming is like living in Mayberry. Not even close!

It was really eye opening when we moved here… There are a lot of good people NR good things, but when asked by others what I was surprised by, the answer is always the amount and types of crimes that occur.

The crimes these days seems to be everywhere. Billings is Chitville,MT only second to Great Falls. I still remember hearing the old timers talk of big Muleys and when they still felt comfortable letting there preteen daughter hitch hike down to the Rez to score some Shrooms.

It happened to my ole man back in the 60's huge buck second place at Zinicks and stole right out of our garage during the daytime.
My Dad was so hot over that for years never got it back.

You got a pic of the deer? Those big muleys are showing up more and more. Always a chance I've seen it.

antlers hold immense value these days, I shot a 175” buck this year on Halloween, I had the head and cape in the back of my truck before we left for a party that evening, and at the last minute decided maybe it would be better off in the garage. I guess what I’m saying is don’t leave it laying around and it won’t get stolen. Sounds like a jerk thing to say but the unfortunate reality is thieves are out there
