My wife was lucky enough to draw an expo Manti late tag. We have a cabin in scofield and hunt the unit regularly however we’ve never hunted on the winter range. With the storms we’ve had our home base seems pretty useless.
My hope is I can get advice from people who have been there and done that on a snowy late hunt. I’ve been on the late hunt a few times over the years but we rarely have had as much snow as we do right now on top with another storm coming. I was on one late hunt where we had about 3 feet and we never really found the quality of bulls we were after.
Where would best place to setup home base?
I’m open to renting a cabin/home or taking my fifth wheel. Certainly want comfy accommodations so she doesn’t get burned out.
Where do the bigger bulls typically winter?
I’m grateful for any help and certainly not opposed to paying for the right information/help/guidance. Pm me if interested
