Antelope Island 2022?

It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy. Even though Tyler felt like he wasn’t deserving, believe me, he is. He’s been through the ringer and this hunt and the friends he’s made on it are proof there’s still good in this world. This wouldn’t have happened without the generosity of Mike and Melissa Shultz. What an inspiration to us all! Also a shout out to the guys who spent countless hours/days with Tyler scouting for just the right deer for him and to Hunts for The Brave who found Tyler. Oh, and one more shoutout, the companies that wanted to help and did! Kings Camo, Christenson Arms, Vortex, and Baccou. There’s a couple I’m forgetting and I apologize. We’ll have the story of Tyler’s gifted hunt Saturday, December 3rd on KSL Outdoors. It’ll be a story about a hunt that has turned a bunch of strangers into family. I can’t wait to tell it!

I'm not sure what I am more impressed with - the size of that buck or the size of those neckerchiefs those guides are wearing! :ROFLMAO:
Gotta get me one of those for the really cold days!

That is a very cool buck - congrats to the hunter and sounds like a really great story for everyone involved!

Helluva buck Tyler got, Adam!
So cool you were there and a part of the hunt.
Yep, way cool!

Truly Great Bucks, hats off to the Shulz’s for there generosity. Side note, and slightly off topic, but it might be time for WHL and Doyle to high fence that East side of the island with some SFW funding, would be a tragedy and we’d hate to see any big bucks wander off the Island in the current drought status and not get the hero harvest From a some of the Preffered guide island boyz.

Sweet bucks..!

Went out to try and see some ruttin bucks this week... never saw a single deer. Really weird. Usually get to see a few big boys chasing does, not the case. Maybe I'll go out once more Sat, but its not the same as it was a few years ago.

I agree 100%.

If those were the two biggest bucks on the Island looks like quality is down compared to years past.
What could be the cause of the decline?
I just noticed there’s a topic on the Utah forum discussing the decline in quality and quantity on antelope Island.

There’s not a lot of bucks out there and they shoot the two biggest bucks every year. What more is there to talk about?

Make the hunt once every three years and you’ll see quality similar to when they first started whoring out the island for $$$

100%, agree?

I’m giving ya’ll a research assignment. Someone go find pics of all the bucks killed on the island since the hunt opened, and post them by year in its own thread. (One draw tag is a little more difficult to come by, but it’s floating around out there.)

This is your mission, if you choose to accept it.

Loved the show and the generosity from Mike Schultz to pay for that tag and to give it to a veteran. Wow!! Pretty awesome all the way around for everyone involved!!
