Had fun hunting this year with family. After hunting hard most of the season and looking over a lot of deer, I pulled the trigger on a nice, heavy buck with my uncle and brother standing by my side.
My 14 year old nephew was able to take his best buck to date. He kept his itchy trigger finger put away, passed up some nice bucks and was rewarded with a good one. He’s already talking about next season
Next up was my FIL. He’s wasn’t much into hunting when my wife and I got together. Last year he spent a couple mornings tagging along during the hunt, and think he caught the bug. Started asking for hunting gear last Christmas, bought himself and new rifle, and played the reissue game this year. He managed to pull a tag for one of the units we had a tag for. One evening we found a nice buck in an easy location to make a play on. A perfect 100 yard shot had him holding his first buck of hopefully many.
