With winter setting in early this year, it's time to ride!

Rode every winter from the time I could walk, up until about 2011. Haven't ridden since. Finally got around to getting the old sleds out of storage, and got them running. 97 summit 670, and 03 summit 800. Taking them out tomorrow with my youngest boy, 17, he's never ridden.

Definitely going to have to take it easy first trip out, hopefully it's like riding a bike ?

My wife bought us 2 of them for Christmas a few years back. We have went once in 3 years. I like riding them, I guess, but I’d rather go ice fishing.
My youngest son doesn’t mind taking them out….

yeah Buford, I’ll probably go up Klein tops at some point. I really like kebler pass but it’s a long haul from silt.
I used to ride Buford and Klein tops a lot. These days I spend most of my time east of there.
I would definitely wait a while before hitting Klein tops.

Avalanche City right now! Really heavy wet stuff on top of ball bearings. Careful on the steep stuff!

If you don't ride a lot it's cheaper to just rent one now and then. I think powder machines are $300 a day including a tank of gas most places. a new 850 snow check is 18k like I spec them , and 23k with a turbo option. then get a sled deck or tailer whatever it's pretty stupid . but I love it.

A lot of the things we do are stupid. But you only live once ?

Luckily going from gen 4 to 5 made the 22 turbos slightly less obscene.

Snow sucks around here. above average depth but it's mashed spuds down low and heavy up high. stupid warm lately, bad for sledding but the game animals are loving it.
