Yeah they’re starting seen a group of does this morning with a big buck chasing a doe, she was running around with her tongue hanging out -eastern Idaho

Saw some whitetails last night starting to chase a little. I think this cold weather is going to help.

When I left on the last day I seen some smaller mule deer bucks with a big group of does lip curling. Never found a big enough mule deer buck to put my tag on so I shot a decent whitetail for my first one

Saw a pretty good whitetail fight today. Watched for about 5 minutes until a winner chased off the looser.

My gawd they are rutting they rut almost the entire season, if you are only seeing young deer rutting it’s because the older bucks are gone from last season when everyone was hunting them when they were rutting. It’s a vicious cycle of rutting deer getting blasted with high powered rifles every year. Shoot the first one you see before somebody else does.

We need a rut report. Kinda like how the ski areas report snow. Then everyone would know when to come out here and kill muleys. mtmuley
