Has anyone here fired one?

It is available through Sportsmans.

It's sure a nice looking piece!

Not sure what to think about Savage but I realize they're better than back in the 70's when I was selling guns.

It has to be better than the Remington 1911, that's for sure, IMHO.

My 2 cents,
Zeke

Ive got a Savage 110 from the 60s that works as it should, .30/06. Bought it in when I was in SEA.

I'll stick to my Kimber.
As will I. At least until I get to handle the Savage.

On a side note, after about a years wait, 14 round mags for my Kimber Plolymer Target are back in stock. I fat fingered my way and ordered a dozen or so.

I’m a little surprised by the Kimber hate on the 1911 boards.

I’ll stick with my Colts.
That is because most of it is true. I bought my new Kimber and it had FTE. The extractor was a little tight so I spent oh...15mins or so to adjust it and it ran fine. I knew this before I bought one and already had a solution "just in case".

But man, the beauty of the Kimber and how it shoots is worth my 15mins of time to fix it. I was hitting coke cans at 25yds easily. Crazy accurate.

Sort of off topic, as I know nothing about the savage 1911 pistol, but my son bought a Rock Island 1911 chambered for 10mm auto. That thing shoots great.
It is made I believe in the Philippines, but other than that it seems like a nice 1911.
And it really tosses the empty brass, lol. ?
