NR Point boost for Kaibab archery

Hey guys, I've got 9 NR points and I've been just missing Kaibab archery deer the past few years and I'm not sure I will catch it if it keeps going the way it is. I'd love to piggy back on someone with 12+ points that wants to hunt Kaibab archery this year. I'm starting to realize on out of state hunts its nice to have multiple guys with tags anyway. I may have one other guy with 9 that would join us depending on how the draws go here in Colorado and if there's enough points to share.

If you're interested send a PM and we can chat on the phone and you can interview me to make sure I'm not a weirdo.

I’ll vouch for him he’s only semi weird. Great guy that you can trust.

An AZ res with 13+ deer points should be able to cheaply do this for you if you make it worth his time ($).

If he is smart, he will just “use up” his one allowed point guard return for deer. Costs him $10 for the PG and he will only lose the $58 deer tag fee. An NR can do it for you also, but loses $315 deer tag price.

Even if he has 20 points, he can boost you and your friend (both 9 points) to about 13 points, then do the PG surrender and get all 20 of his points back and keep going with his planned collection schedule.

Good luck!

It all sounds good until you draw “your” tag, then something unforeseen happens and you cant make your hunt and there goes your 20+ points and a couple grand down the drain.

Yes. That is where the money comes in.

You are paying him for his time and for the slightly increased risk he will take in a future year.

We all accepted that risk with little question prior to good old PointGuard.

Yup. You know Ol Murphy will show up for playing the greed game!

Imagine breaking your leg 2 weeks before the season and can’t use your PG because you “helped” out a guy the prior year for a little bit of $$.

Or….someone (R or NR) with enough points just helps me out since they will draw anyway and we have a great hunt for big bucks.

I’d put in w ya but then the points would going in the wrong direction ??‍♂️.

Kevin gets another “he is a good guy” from me. Hope ya find someone as it would be a fun hunt!

I like this idea, who wants to carry me to an Elk tag next season?????

Low chance with 9 pts last year. 10 pts last year got you the tag.

All this talk makes me wonder what the going rate for points are these days? Has that ever been determined or is that a no-no and only discussed in dark places? Does it make a difference if it is deer, elk or antelope?

I have heard rumors of guys getting guided hunts on the strip for using their points to apply with someone with less points.

Happens all the time in WY. Az would be tough due tag #s but I could easily see it happening.

The point creep as people's eyes open is similar to the phantom jam effect observed in traffic snarls. The ripple effect of a wreck (auto or high demand state draws) is real. Choose wisely.

Wish you luck MrDoe. I think it will take at least 14 NR points this year if not 15. You a resident?

I'm a non resident, that would be a crazy amount of point leap but with what's happened in some other states this year it wouldn't surprise me a ton.

Hopefully 12 averaged is enough ?
Results should be any day now! Oh wait, this is AZG&F, could be a couple months, with re-draws required! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, good luck in the draw, and post pics!

I just bought my 11th deer point.

Kissing azgfd butt isn't going to get you a tag large bull. Anyone applying for az is justified in their anger of the stupidity and stone age system we deal with. The draw is so f$&% up I don't think azgfd knows what to do to fix it so they just ignore it.

Plenty of us living here in AZ annoyed with their antiquated computer system process in the draw and rightfully so.. They need to just contract that out to Kalkomey and raise the tag/application cost a few bucks to cover the cost imo..

Might cost them less to hire out.

You are right , but I aint kissing there Butt. They have a screwed up system ,but complaining aint doing any good. If guys don't like the wait ,don't apply. Some people have no patience. Happy Wednesday. Wyoming Deer supposed to be out Tomm. PS. never kissed anybody's Butt ,aint gonna start now at almost 67...............BULL!

Everyone that has applied in AZ more than once understands how the system works, or doesn't work! Wait a minute, wasn't AZ one of the states that couldn't count votes in the 2020 election? Hmmm. Maybe AZGFD is in charge of that as well! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Oh, and got confirmation we were drawn for Wyoming today.

This may be the fastest climbing demand tag in the West along with WY region G. Both these were every other year hunts not long ago. Drew Kaibab 3 times in 4 years. It’s a good hunt but 10 points??? Lol, not much of a value.

Looks like you were right... no hit at 13 pp averaged for our group of 2.
Wow that’s a surprise. I think the main reason is AZ does not have a lot of options for archery deer. I think it’s time to scout some of the other units.

The thing you are also forgetting is the unlimited OTC resource is gone now. The days of people saving points and hunting the OTC tags are gone.

Before you say the tags lasted x amount of time this year , remember it caught a lot of people off guard. Multiple “influencers” didn’t get tags this year because they forgot. I expect the OTC archery tag to be a 5 meter dash this year.
