Has anyone vacationed there ? I am looking at a trip or two and one starts at Turialba.
Looks good haven't asked for a quote yet but it looks to be a great trip with rafting a part I would like. The Osa Peninsula is part of the trip also.

I don't know the answer to your questions but my daughter and her family along with friends went there last year and were favorably impressed. I do know there was rafting and zip line involved.

The wife and I have gone there twice, and are planning another trip. We love Crocodile Bay Resort and the Osa Peninsula, and the various activities. I concentrate more on the fishing, and she likes the eco tours, monkeys, and the 5-star spa accommodations. A great family run environment, and getting bigger all the time. Developing Botanika and partnering with Hilton has made huge improvements. My kids have gone several times, and prefer to go a little cheaper and enjoy Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo areas and the night life.

I do want to fish and my wife loves fishing. I didnt think about that- thank you Blank. A nice shore lunch is always superb.

Met an ole boy elk hunting he said when you get back from fishing you shake the bag of fish at the local women and you can make a trade. No experience here just what he told said he lived down there for 7 years or so. The jeep he drove stunk like weed but he told us where the elk were so I gotta believe him!

When I was in grade school in Moses Lake my friend and I loved to go catch Crappie. Sometimes we would see some black women down on the lake and we sold them crappies for a nickel each. That was freak as we could go pig out on candy bars and sodas. One time we were catching two at a time right before a rain storm. We filled up a 5 gal bucket, and knew it would be like coming home on Halloween night with all the candy. But the rain sent everyone home and so no one was there to buy them. Also our parents didn't know how good they are, and we didn't know how good they were so we tossed them. I have never caught fish that incredibly fast again. We felt like Roland Martins that day, lol.

Great place to travel! I found the people very friendly from the Capitol all the way to the beach. I’ve stayed in two different Hiltons in the capital. One by the shopping District, the other over looking soccer stadium. Also went to fortuna were the volcano is , jaco, Tamarindo, and some smaller towns in airbnbs. Wildlife is incredible mokeys, parrots, tucans, crocodiles, kudamudi and sloths! Went fishing out of Tamarindo and a restaurant cook the fish we caught that night. Driving there can be a little wild, but I’ve lived in the Virgin Islands so I was used to that! Can’t wait to go back.

That's what I'm talking about ! Thank yiu fir sharing Huntandfish !

My wife and I went to the Osa peninsula last February. We stayed and fished with Crocodile bay. It’s was incredible. The fishing was great, the tours, the food and just spending a week in the rain forest was awesome. We caught big Dorado, roosters, she caught a 100lb sailfish and I hooked into what the captain was guessing a 5-600lb marlin. I believe the new resort is finished and is supposed to be really nice. I’d highly recommend it.

That sounds incredible. Thanks for the info. What month did you go ?

Went last month. Guanacaste. Stayed at the Riu Palace down at the ocean. Flew into Liberia. It's about a 5 hr flight from Denver. Our trip was an all-inclusive. All meals and drinks paid for. Went on a couple excursions and just enjoyed getting away for a week from this crappy winter. It was great.

Go.

Don't wait.

You won't regret it!

Here's a few more pics especially for you, Eel!
