Some one turned in the tag for the cache meadowville any bull early rifle hunt and I got lucky and got it but I have never hunted there and didn’t scout at all because I didn’t draw but I got the tag yesterday any tips would be great the hunt opens the 18 of September

Make sure you have onx, because the guy that leases all of the ground to the west is always right on the border looking for someone to mess up, his last name is kearl if I remember right, but that’s probably where you’ll see most of the elk

Ok thanks we were planning on going east of bug lake i got told that there has been some bulls backup there

Have a hunted a lot near there but never on the unit itself because of the access. Keep an eye on those property lines as mentioned and good luck!!

Nearly and Goring own immediately east and north of bug lake stay over to new canyon and otter creek

Jkass did you end up filling your tag? I drew an archery tag for this year and was wondering how it went

My best guess is there is a pretty low success rate for those unable or unwilling to pay for trespass. There is a good reason it is one of the easiest LE to draw.

That being said it has produced some nice bulls.

This is true and I have heard that same statement from a few different people. Not impossible though so I'll give it an honest try. Just trying to see if anyone is willing to help improve the success rate. The more I know about the unit the better my chances.

Get an app so you know where the private is, and hunt near it. The last two weeks are likely the best, pray the rut kicks off for you, and maybe you can locate bulls on or near the public land... if they are near, call em in. ;)

Also, its one of the prettiest places in Utah so enjoy the experience of being there as well.

O I'm already crossing my fingers and have a good buddy that will be doing the calling for me. I am hoping we can make this work out!
I'll be scouting a few times before your hunt I'll let you know what I find. We have a mid season rifle hunt.
