Don't stop now.

North Dakota pheasants are like grade school kids,
South Dakota are like a college grad.
Come and play with us Nov29 to Dec 5th Carpenter SD.
Nephew has a small lodge there.

Yep. It happens once in awhile but quite rarely. Leghold traps actually aren't designed to hold hooved animals. So 95% of the time when the trap fires on a deer he will jump one time and his foot will pop right out.

The couple of times I have caught deer the foot actually doesn't look totally planted in the trap with a slight twist. I have never had it happen with cast jaw traps. As long as you are properly using swivels the deer ends up fine.

Well I’m pretty well done for the year. Awesome year for coyotes. Finished off with a pretty good day too

My buddy did just get a thermal set up. Wanting me to keep going but it’s getting close to just thinking about bears. Gotta get some stuff done around the house before the spring season starts
