Wild, but a Beaver elk tag sold for $180,000 at a mule deer foundation banquet last night. That’s an absurd amount for that tag. Must be a specific bull there someone really wants.

First thing that comes to my mind is that I hope a average Joe draw hunters kills the species bull early in the archery hunt before the high dollars roll in. I’m sure the outfitters will follow the one guide plus one spotter law for their $180,000 client.

I was a spotter at that auction, that was pretty fun seeing it go that high.

Only need a few players to keep the auction tags high. In this investment climate, even if your 80 mil portfolio has dropped to 65 mil, your still in fine shape to keep bidding on these tags. 180k is scarcely a drop in the bucket. Spend it or die with it....there's no real dilemma.

There Are Enough People With Surplus Money To Take Good Care Of The Money Tags!

Should Be Some Major Fixin On The Elk & Deer Herd This Year With The Amount of Money Generated!

And Still Being Generated!

I know there is a bit of a process to this but why does a mule deer based group get such good elk tags to benefit from?

I'm that average joe with the Beaver archery hunt this year. I'd welcome any hot tips. I will likely be hunting all by myself, unless I can convince a friend to tag along.

Check out Big John’s Flat.

Get away from the roads & don’t waste your time hunting Labor Day weekend. Far too many people will be out there camping / recreating for the long weekend & it pushes the elk out.
The bulls will start bugling pretty good toward the end of the archery season.

They don't seem to get in a hurry mailing out the permits.. But don't worry if you drew a tag it'll show up in the mail..I don't know of anyone who has received there's yet..I know we haven't

Im doing the rifle hunt elk this year, and if you want help message me. Would be my first elk season, but I’m sure footed and quiet.
