major crime ranking

At work today… went on 1 murder (doa) and another shooting, at like 9am on a damn Tuesday… par for the course in Commie-rado, keep pretending like wolves are top legislating priority though haha ? glad they will pass unconstitutional laws for gun ownership soon, im sure it will stop all that pesky crime.

Hey littlebull, not that I dispute the point but you got a link to that ranking? I can’t seem to find anything that has us higher than 4th behind DC, LA, and NM.

I’d like to take a look at it to make sure it wasn’t put out by the NM Tourism Department. ;)

It’s all in the meaning of IS.

Grouse legs...thanks for posting the link...I have been in bed with some flu bugs. Some news sources are now calling the far left "Bolshoviks" (sp)..pretty scary times we are living in.

Blue thanks for the laugh ..I had forgot the meaning of "is".

Thanks for pointing that out littlebull. Sad deal for our state.

I dont even want to imagine what our governor is doing right now...
I think he's currently pondering who he will have added to the CPW to ensure Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is metered out. As a matter of fact, got a curious request when applying for the draw about ethnicity/sex to better serve me. Politely declined to provide.

Just makes you shake your head that anyone would support the democratic party this day and age.
Republicans are far from perfect, but good lord. You Dem voters need to open your eye's as to what is really going on here. Scary as hell.

The recent "Economic Summit" which our wonderful John Kerry attended gives a much broader picture about their total agenda. The local news outlets protect Polis and their agenda. We are screwed .

Polis is bound and determined to run it into the ground and the local liberals are blind to it !!
They are not blind to it, they want it. The Democrats of today are not the Democrats of 60s-70s. Democrats today truly want to see the United States fail so some new socialistic/communist experiment can be put into place. Their first step is to normalize high crime rates.

Just mind blowing that people flee California to get away from liberal politics, liberal policies and the high cost of living but they forget to leave their liberal voting behind. Sad that it starts to turn red states purple, then blue.

Here’s the actual report. It doesn’t paint a pretty picture, but it’s not quite as cut and dried as just saying Colorado is the worst in the nation. In fact, it‘s pretty much hogwash.

Here’s the methodology. It’s not even based on actual crime statistics :ROFLMAO:

Methodology
Survey coverage
The Bureau of Justice Statistics’ (BJS) National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) is an annual data collection carried out by the U.S. Census Bureau. The NCVS is a self-report survey that is administered annually from January 1 to December 31. Annual NCVS estimates are based on the number and characteristics of crimes that respondents experienced during the prior 6 months, excluding the month of their interview. For example, the 2019 data, one of the three years of data analyzed for this report, reflect a reference period from July 1, 2018 to November 30, 2019, with March 15, 2019, as the midpoint. Crimes are classified by the year of the survey and not by the year of the crime.
The NCVS is administered to persons age 12 or older from a sample of U.S. households that is representative of the nation and of the 22 most populous states. It collects information on nonfatal personal crimes
(rape or sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, and personal larceny (purse snatching and pocket picking)) and household property crimes (burglary or trespassing, motor vehicle theft, and other

I spent most of my life on the front range and most of free time in the mountains or in Wyoming. Best decision I ever made was to plan an exit package from the Denver. Bought some land and a home in NW CO and never looked back. I hate that I still have to go back to the front range every now and then. Stress level instantly goes up, road rage is fact of life on highways. My son still lives there and had some people try and steal his truck from his apartment on 14th/CO Blvd a few months ago- he calls and I am talking with him and the police officers at 3am and the officer tells him he should try to disable his vehicle because they almost stole it and they are seeing a lot of these car thieves come back the same night as soon as the cops leave. I try and stay calm and tell the police officers then surely you will be posting somewhere close in this area in case they comeback and you catch them in the act. The officer said it would be nice if it worked that way, but I have duties to work on this am.

I am sure I didn't help things as I became very upset with the cop and told my son, go get your shotgun and sit in the bushes and wait for the pieces of **** to return since the police don't want to do their jobs. The cop then told us he would ask for additional patrols on the street and if my son could kindly remove one of his battery cables so they couldn't start the truck.

This is what Denver has now become. What a shitshow!!

I understand your sediments, but that’s probably not the best advice to give your son. You should have done it yourself if you’re dead set on turning a property crime into a violent crime statistic.

The only time I’ve been assaulted in CO was by the cops.

And I understand what you mean about the front range; I have a son there as well.

Sounds like you dont have the life experience to give advice on defending oneself from violent assaults.

Youve obviously lived a very different life than most people from western colorado and obviously didnt grow up here

Violent assault? On a car? :ROFLMAO:

I agree things have been different for me - most people haven’t been rolled around in their driveway by a bunch of riod-raging psychopaths who can’t figure out how addresses work.

But at least they parked in my lawn.(y)

I’m not a cop, I’m a slightly better test taker, but this stuff is way too common place. Honestly the police numbers are super low in Denver (thanks anti-police movement) they don’t have enough officers to staff daily minimums often, plus some of the recruits that are getting churned out seems like they are really reaching to get good people to work that job anymore. Gonna get even more interesting for sure. Lots of violent crime, so thefts and non violent crime gets almost overlooked. Top it off with crazy bail reform and catch and release policies, DA’s and judge who will not prosecute or just dismiss things it’s a sh*t show. Most cops don’t want to waste their time on a lot of stuff cause courts will toss it out depending on if the perp looks a certain way or is homeless…

If I wasn't 200 miles away from him, I would have gladly went down to help stop someone from stealing his truck. In this situation I would have and I am sure he would have only used a weapon as self protection.

I truly support and feel bad for all cops, but everytime in my life I have called them about my business being robbed, credit card swapped at restaurant and one other bs. I found out the police were not in the business of solving or catching the pieces of shiiit and if it was property issue or credit card issue they always asked me if I had insurance. Which I find so offensive as they are implying that I should get back most of the lost or damaged or stolen property because I have a insurance. We have finger prints, video and witness's whom know whom the piece of shiit is and they still don't want to pursue it.

Where I live now, most people are good people, and most are armed for the extremely rare case they may need to protect life or property.
I agree no vehicle is worth losing or taking a life, but I refuse to lay down and let someone take property or harm my family if I can safely stop it!!

To each his or her own!

High crime rates always end with the demand for someone to fix it...with the power to fix it......

I completely understand. And as correctly pointed out, it’s a criminal justice thing.

We can’t afford to incarcerate the pos’s because of all the rights and other bullchit they get in prison. There isn’t a single prisoner in this state who doesn’t have better health insurance than me. And take your prison labor union and shove it up your ass.

I think the MFR’s ought to have towork for free all day hoeing beans so they have something to eat and building more prisons so we don’t have to worry about running out of room. And if you get sick you die if you don’t get worked to death. Then watch what happens to the crime rate.

I’m crawling back in my hole now.

With a little kid being taught that in real life it's ok to be a kitty with the school installing a litter, it's no wonder they're f'ed up in the head. And the state forces the parents to comply or social services steps in against the parents.

BTW the litterbox story is quite real and close to home.

Shoot blew my mind not to long ago I found out they get paid like 17-20 bucks an hour working now, I guess some of them sued and said the whole working for .20 was slavery, I thought the point of prison it was supposed to suck

I would like to see a link to that. One of the elected idiots said the same thing about our local schools.

There was never any truth to it, and yet the story lives on.

Media malpractice.

Hasn't gone to the media for privacy of the child. In Colorado they are treating to this as normal so media will not jump on it.

Hogwash. There is no f’n way that some kid is shitting in a litterbox, and some other kid hasn’t posted a video. After all, playing on their phones is pretty much all kids these days do in skool. Post up the source.

I want to believe this bullshit as much as anyone, but in most cases if you chase it to ground there’s nothing there.

The local litterbox story from Durango is one. Where does your local story call home?

Hogwash on calling the privacy of this child out! The parents and school don't buy this this chit knowing the kids has issues playing a game and the state is enabling it. If you think for one minute every woke oddity makes the news then you are mistaken.

The parents and the school installed it to call the kid out and the enablers. Put it into reality.

So, you got nothing? I still call BS.

Our schools have been under assault by the left for decades, and now the hard right is attacking. There are still good and decent people working hard to educate (and raise) your children. They deserve to have rational people think before they spread ridiculous rumors.

Let me bow out of this dead-end argument by asking you if you think you are part of the problem if you are giving the enemy aid and comfort by protecting them?

If you have facts about something like what you are alleging, you have a moral obligation to disclose them. Otherwise you are just another enabler. At least have the courage to say where this is happening.

You sound like Gladys Kravitz. So since you don't see it in the news it's not real? Have a nice day Bluehair.
I was hoping you could provide some detail or clarity in your first-hand reporting, instead of the lefty move of hiding the childs privacy (which I don’t give a chit about). Otherwise it’s just more bullshit.

Parents deserve to know which school district this is happening in. Step up. Or at least tell me so I can call it out.

I had the opportunity to talk to a school board member about this.

There is no circumstance that Colorado law would require such an accommodation. Special needs are determined by a disabled student’s IEP (look it up).

Even with a doctors order, the school would not be compelled to accommodate the request because there isn’t anything in CO law that defines needing a sandbox as part of a disability.

So if the mullet wearing punk who outsmarted the school and got a sandbox to make a political point isn’t just lying, then the issue is with the local school district.

So yeah, I still call BS. At least here on the range. I wouldn’t bet my life on Aspen or Vail though.

I’m speaking strictly about public schools here.

Yes, I have heard that story as well , The wife has a friend who kids have that at their school. Is that insane or what? I sure hope this is just a fad that goes away. What is next, they have their own parking spots like the handicap or veterans?

These liberals have gone flat crazy trying to normalize this garbage. It's sickening and schools need to be called out for this garbage so we can hope to end it.

Thanks to polis, CO is now a safe haven for transitioning kids under 18 to get cut, without parental approval.

That rock chucking spree was right by my casa… punks are idiots and lucky they didn’t the wrong vehicle and get chased down and shot, which would have been 100% preferred to what happened to that poor girl
