So what your saying is Don’t Call Out To The Bear Giving Him your Position?! LOL! Do you think the bear’s adrenaline rush gave him the extra drive to kill the people? eelgrass not sure but I think it was a Brown Bear to Boot!

Yeah, if it's wounded try to lay low and be vewy quiet. ? LOL!

Always try to keep the bear up wind too.

That's just what I've read though.
 
I watched this video the other day and a few things bothered me about it. First, why are they taking long shots period on a brown bear? I would think shots should be limited to, say 200 yards or under. Second the lady says at least one shot hits the bear in the vitals. Well, if a bullet hits a animal in the vitals it dies within a minute or two, otherwise it’s not really in the (vitals). Lastly, when I see someone having a hard time chambering a round on video it always seems to be on one of these super, duper long range rifles. Just an observation
 
The thing that jumped out for me was shooting the bear at the den entrance. If they had killed it and it wiggled at all it would be back in the den....nearly impossible to skin it. Big bears take a lot of effort and time to skin even in the open.
 
I saw that video about a month ago and it spooked me then too. I've never been interested in hunting brown bears anyway, but even less now. One more reason to make sure your hand loads aren't too hot.

That’s my thoughts exactly mozey. Why in the world would you load your own bullets on a dangerous game hunt and load them right to the maximum you can load them too?! someone above mentioned the woman said that there was at least 1 shot that hit the vitals 1 hit close to the spine I think etc etc. since her husband wanted to film everything why didn’t they show where the bear was hit? That’s why I asked above was it the bear’s adrenalin giving him the extra strength and to make him even more aggressive to hunt them because of giving their position away. Funny think I was watching Modern Mountain Man on YouTube of another brown bear hunt and once the guide spotted the bear they went up high enough to get at least level with the bear before shooting it. They had a save hunt! I used to say I wanted to go brown bear hunting there no way I would do that now with being older and seeing that video.

The female is the sister of the gent she was hunting with. She and her hubby live in AK. The rest of the family are big-time hunters from Idaho and regularly smoke animals at distance and they're very good at it, including doubling up on big 10ft brownies last year. Scary video--glad he was composed.

seems to me like he hit it once and only once with the 338. like the bullet broke apart or hit the snow? what’s it look like to you guys? super low points for shooting it out of a den…
