Wyoming buck from 2017.
Post up your bucks that almost hit the magical 200" mark!

198 gross, thought I was shooting a heavy 170 buck when I pulled the trigger, I severely under judged him and almost passed him up, plus I didn't see the matching 3.5" extras off his beams, and the tripod on his front looked a lot smaller, I was very pleased when we put the tape on him back at the truck.

Great buck! Congratulations!

It might be a few years until he is #5 on the hit list again. He's a great buck.
16 was a special year. Not very often your top handful of bucks are 200”+ I still have nightmares of the Nontypical and typical bucks coulda woulda shoulda. I know you share my pain. Couples therapy??? ?

Hmm.... all of these "almost 200" bucks look a lot bigger than my collection of 200"+ bucks that I don't post pictures of because I don't like attention.

After your loin cloth post, I think I'll skip the couples therapy, but thanks for the offer.

Great bucks! After limited hunting and scouting time the last few years, I am super excited to spend more time in woods and see more deer and elk this fall! (Divorce is final, just have to sell the house). I am looking forward to hearing to some elk bugle in September. See some stars in the high country night sky. Hopeful that the areas I hunt didn't suffer as much winterkill as nw corner of state. I ll enjoy it a little more than before regardless...

Here's a 191 buck u all have seen before. Watched him for many hours before getting him at 75 yards opening day at 10 am.

Thank you for posting up these great bucks. Really some fine deer! Have never scored a buck in my life. At 69 not starting any time soon.

That buck has some cool cheaters!

I need that tape measure
I'm not trying to upset anyone, just sharing some big deer sheds I found on a buck that will be bigger next year. I have no reason to make up any number. I defiantly didn’t want to derail the thread, but it seems like everyone does so I might as well respond.

He’s what I measured, I used a steel cable to measure. I gave him 24” for a spread credit, he may be slightly less but his mass and length still put him in the upper 180’s gross even with less spread. His inside spread is defiantly wider than his ears and he’s a big mature deer so I figured around 24”? He’s super tall with over 17" G2's, probably 25+from the top of his head.

Here are the numbers, he has 3.5” broken off, if he wasn't broke he would gross right at 190 and net around 184". That is assuming his broken points matched closely to his non-broken which were all very close on the rest of the points, he is a very symmetrical buck.

The 25 tall has nothing to do with the score unless your claiming his g2s are 25 inches. Also the inside spread can't be wider then main beam length. I don't see any numbers posted

MB are 24" and 23 4/8, I know the height has nothing to do with the score but makes him look like a smaller deer in the pictures. All the measurements are posted in the second picture above. I can see the picture of the measurements on my phone and computer?
