Leave the politics out of this and consider the consequences if this becomes law.
If the squatter has an elk/deer tag, if he squats next to a fence that separates the private, he’s squatting on, can he cross over the fence to hunt the public?
Will a squatter have access to air space above this camp?
If a squatter, squats on public land, and a Government official, such as a BLM or US Forest Service Ranger tells him to leave or move his camp every 14 days, can he sue the Federal Government and win.
I need to know because I have my eye on a number of different camp sights I’ll be squatting on. Actually…… never mind, I’m just going to head out this afternoon and stake out some places in the lower country and work my way up the mountains, as the snow recedes.
See ya’ll in camp. Feddoc…… I hear there are some great places near Whitefish and you folks in Wyoming have some great locations I’ve had my eye on as well. Arizona has some interesting options I think. I need hurry over Ace Hardware and pick up some blue tarps before they sell out and swing by the Grocery store and throw in a half dozen carts.
