Not sure I can afford the Rubicon.

Thinking it would be fun for riding around, no doors, or top. The bed will be good for the pisscutters I pile up yearly.

Anyone got one?

Yeh, I got one.

I like it. Same chassy as the Dodge 1/2 ton ect.

I've been to British Columbia wolf/lyxn hunting and all over the Rocky Mnt. states.

I'm going to get the EV-Hybrid in 2025.

I was given one as a rental for work a few weeks ago. I honestly hated it. That was all for city and highway travel though. They might be a good off road option, but I think I would probably rather just have a four door wrangler instead so I could at least pull out the back seats and sleep in it for the quick one night trips.

Thought process:

A new sxs is nearly $30k. On top of that, my toy hauler only has 10ft of room so that cuts out most of the new 4 seaters.

Mama has never been a fan of ATV/sxs so it's usually just me and the twins on trail rides(my oldest has a ATV).

Long-term the only reason I have a 1ton diesel is to pull a heavy toy hauler. So in the future if I don't have the sxs I don't need the toy hauler and can downsize it for a trailer and eventually a 1/2 ton truck.

I still would like a bed for coolers and dogs and decoys and dead bloody crap. Thought the kids might like riding around without a top or doors in town.

But, I grew up with jeeps(48 and 50 Willy's) several Cherokees and frankly, they were all money pits.

I'm hoping the Germans buying jeep helped this?

I have one. It’s lifted and running 37s. I use it for tooling around in the country with the family and hunting. Only put about 5k per year on it. It’s not a daily driver.

Drives terribly on the Highway/interstate above 60. No power. No pulling ability. And yes, it was pretty poor before the lift but that didn’t help it. I wish I’d gotten a diesel but I didn’t trust their little ecodiesel power plant and didn’t want to risk the headache.

If you want one for a fun rig, you’ll probably like it. If you want one for a daily driver, I’d advise against it. Like a regular Wrangler unlimited, it’s just not a very comfortable vehicle to drive.

Never had the gladiator but I’ll second the above as suck daily drivers. Had my JK until just last year. 37”s and geared down. Hated driving that thing in the pavement. Jeep basically makes 4x4 mini vans when it comes to the power train. Now swap an LS in those things or a hemi and it’s a different story, if you wanna dump another 20k into one.

Jeeps just aint what they used to be

Have a 04 rubi TJ on 35’s. Only paved roads it sees is to and from the cabin. Does great off road, thing is awesome, basically a street legal SxS, my neck of the woods doesn’t allow SxS on a lot of the FS roads so jeep was the logical choice
