Wow, that's awesome Robb!
That's the ultimate random tag draw!
I suspect there will be some serious time in the desert in the future for you. Especially going "old school". You'd best go buy a case of sun screen right now!
Very cool my friend.

Thanks so much for your comments, text and PM's!!

If I harvest, I will have met my hunting career goal of getting all of our Utah OIL species on to my trophy Room wall.

I'll be kissing 70 years old (February 2024) towards the end of my hunt dates x-mas eve.

My Rocky Ram came off of 3-Corners BARETOP Mnt. Those old logging roads pretty much had grown over and the Mnt. is No Motorized Vehicles.

Many of you may remember I had my Forest Service Permit with in the Flaming Gorge Ranger District and ran Llama Adventure Treks out of Sheep Creek Ranch on the Geological Loop road.

7 miles in and packing him out with the pack string. I was still married to' Da Warden' back then!

Yeh, I grew Muttonchops for a Sheep hunt.....

I remember that adventure. The chops were classic back then.
It's incredibly special to take all of the Utah OIL's. I have only drawn one and doubt I will snag any others. Good on you!

Harvesting all of the OIL‘s in Utah is one Heck of an accomplishment

Robo, are you serious about only using stick and string?! LOL!
I am so happy for you! I really like Mrs Robb’s new profile pic of the month! Tell her I said hill!

Awesome I would have a long range backup just in case they aren't willing to stand up close for ya. LOL
Good luck hope the wind is in your corner.

Hey Thanks!

I just got my Airbnb reserved down there for July----gonna be Hot for sure around St. George.

Anyone have Wayne/NUNYA's contact info?
Grizzly?

Robb

I've only drawn 3 of the OIL's in Utah; Rocky Ram, Mnt. Goat & this Desert Ram tag.

For the other OIL's I had to rely on Montana, Wyoming or Colorado.

Just to simplify things,

Robb
I'm still tickled for you Robb1

If I'd ever luck out a draw a random Rocky tag in Utah, I'd be right there with you.

Random drawing has never treated me well in many many decades of applications, however.

While it seems impossible, I know some people have actually drawn all 5 Utah OILs, but very few are that lucky. I'd say taking three is a real feat.
Besides being kinda jealous, I'm really happy for you Robb. You know what you have way more than most and no doubt you will wring every drop of adventure you can out of that permit. You should go down this week before the desert gnats make glassing impossible!
Keep us posted!

Wow Robb. Just saw this post. Huge congrats on the tag! If anyone can get it done with a bow I know you can! I’ll be following along for sure. Good luck buddy.

Awesome Robb. Couldn't happen to a better person. You are the man. Keep us along for the ride on this hunt. Awesome on all the OIL animals and so cool on the random draw. Enjoy it.
