Corner crossing update. This is getting interesting

Glad to see this is going the way of the hunter. I have no problem with anyone owning private land. But locking up public property is a joke. Now it’s time to make it a law that no foreign country can own real estate for food production in the US. My question is now can the hunters turn around and counter sue the ranch owner.

Now apply this to tribes as well. Plenty out there locking up private land in much the same way...
Agreed why pay taxes on land you have no access to and then cut the tribe a check to do it. If I were president that tribal funding would be gone day 1. They could still have their own monetary system and govt. but we’d be done paying for their socialist conditions and substance abuse.

The "treaties" should all be dissolved. They're American citizens now, not a foreign entity.

I’m really glad we don’t live in an autocratic monarchy and the president doesn’t have unilateral power to do things like this.

The constitution is a beautiful thing! If your proposal is indeed the best policy, it can still happen, just not at the order of the president…thank goodness! I would never want any president to have that kind of unilateral power in our country.

This ruling is good news for sound policy in Wyoming.

I honestly wonder if some of these ranchers will build up giant fencing right where the corners meet? What a freaking joke that they can block people off from public land. I hope this case changes everything!

This is a gross misunderstanding of the checkerboard lands within the tribal boundaries.

Why? Are you a socialist? The government doesn't own private farm land in this country and shouldn't have any say in what private land owners do with it or who they sell it to. You want to know who someone's financial backers are? Go **** yourself, it's none of your business.

If reservations are considered a sovereign nation then they should at a minimum be required to have a passport to leave the Rez but I would prefer they had a travel visa:eek:? and that’s no:poop:

Yeah, it does matter a great deal if a geopolitical foe is the one buying up valuable real estate.

Kind of a clear and present danger thing...

No I pay taxes for public land that’s locked up. That’s not ok. I’m not a socialist why pay taxes on something you can’t use. And anyone buying farm land from a foreign country is my business I’m a citizen they aren’t. I’ll guarantee if congress proposed a bill banning farming land purchases from foreign countries it would have huge support. China buying farm land next to military bases doesn’t concern you?

Not in the least. But I'm not scared of my shadow either. Not too worried about farm owners from anywhere packing up the land and moving it overseas. And the public land isn't locked up it's the private land that is. I support the notion of corner crossing being legal, but there's plenty of public land that's locked with no accessible corners, and that's just too bad. And you don't pay taxes for any of it, if anything someone is leasing it for grazing. The constitution of the this country guarantees anyone here legally the right to own property, and the government can **** right off if they think they should be able to know who's backing the owner.

I’m not scared of mine either great assumption though. And yeah you do pay taxes on all federal land every last bit of it. No matter what a politician says you’re paying for it.

Really? When and where? Property is taxed at the state level and federal lands aren't taxable by the states. Personally my federal taxes are levied on income, maybe the Feds send you a tax bill for lands, I haven't seen one. I live near and around a lot of federal land that is land locked and have never seen a dime spent on any of it. You just keep making things up, but remember when the government kicks in your door to take your **** it won't be the Chinese government. Which is why I can't stand it when people support asset seizure, it's great when they're stealing someone else's stuff to give to you, right?

Oh, you're one of those Idaho guys. Now, who's the scared one thinking the big bad government is coming to kick in your door for your dope money. Do you live at Hayden Lake? Show us your cool prison tatts.....

Funny but you pay federal taxes you pay for federal land they don’t pump sh!ters on forest ground for free or fight fired for free. What if one of those fires is on fed land behind private property. Do they ground the plane and say no we aren’t going to fly because Idahomuley says that’s not taxable.

So the Forest Service is out placing toilets on land locked parcels? For who, the Chinese farmers???

No they aren’t I was just giving you a couple examples on where your federal funding goes. If that landlocked forest land burns I’ll bet they reseed it as well. Another example of your tax dollars that benefit the landowner that has it locked up.
