Which do you prefer? I have had trucks with a Line-X'd beds and those without. I like the look of the Line-X but haven't had my truck done yet and debating if I will or not. Change my mind on getting the bed Line-x'd. Anyone have bad experience with coating the bed? I don't mind the paint but it is getting scratched.....and no, I don't have a manbun or shoot a Creedmore. LOL

I'm cheap. Factory bed with 1/2" exterior plywood. My kayak slides in and out smooth and I can take the plywood out to clean the bed. I have a canopy though, so it stays dry. The inside fender wells are kind of beat up though from loading and packing firewood. Meh...I think my next truck will be a Tesla Cybertruck. It has a factory bed liner.

You're Afraid To Scratch The Bed?

What's The TailGate Look Like?:D

Line-X Always
Ive had it in every new truck I bought since 1998 well worth the money.
The coating came off the top of the large bed bolts mainly on the back 2 from dragging stuff in and out of the bed thats the only issue I have ever had. Just take it back and they will usually re-coat them for free if you want.

So Question For The Pro's?

In Our Area It's Been RHINO-LINING & I've Never Seen Line-X In Our Area?

Wondering Who's Had Both & Your Likes/Pro's & Cons Of The Two?

I Know RHINO LINING When It Dries Has A Flat Look To It & If You Want It Shiny You Have To Spray It With Clear Coat!

Is Line-X The Same Way?

We have both here in Cali....Rhino quote was a bit cheaper than the Line X and not sure why. LIne X is $700 and Rhino was like $625. I will more than likely go with Line X again.

It is a dull finish for LineX as well.

My SIL Used To RHINO LINE For A Living!

I Had Him Spray It On The Rear Bumper Of My Work Truck When I Put It Together!

He Probably Didn't Like My Thinking But I Had Him Spay It Over & Over Till It Was A 1/4" Thick!

Gold In Color & Then He Sprayed It With Clear Coat!

Looked Great & Lasted Well For Alot Of Years!

Here's The Issue I Eventually Seen With It:

And I Have No Complaints!

At 12 Years Old Even The 1/4" RHINO Lining Started Cracking!

Can't Be Mad If It Lasted That Long!

I Do Honestly Believe They Need To Come Up With Some Kind Of Primer Before Spraying The RHINO On!

In Our Area Where It's Fairly Cold,The Metal Is Way Colder Than The Rhino Lining And In Time You Will Get A Small Amount Of Condensate Between The Metal & The RHINO & It Starts Rusting/ Eating On The Metal!

I've Tried The Stuff You Buy In The Gallon Can That You Can Roll/Brush On & It Only Lasts 2-3 Years On Misc Trailers & Such Until The Sun/Weather Burns It Off!

I sprayed my bed with Raptor Liner six months ago. It seems to be holding up good so far. Time will tell. Pictures of the day I sprayed it to what it looks like now. You can find Raptor liner on Amazon.

When I bought my 2012 truck, I had it sprayed with Line-X. I had wanted it Rhino lined but there was a local that I knew in Evanston that exclusively installed the Line-X. I gave it a try and could not be happier with it. I now have 11 years on it an it still looks great and has not cracked. Seems like I paid $400 back then to have it done, but I am not sure.

Don't you remember all the 'Dew' cans you threw in the back of my truck when we were hunting antelope? All that abuse and it held up fine....

I've had Line-X in three of my Ram 2500s and have always loved it. Living close to the coast like you and I do I think it's a necessity to keep the rust at bay!
