4 year world wide hunting ban

I'll Add That One To HELL-F'N-RIGHT!

Niller Will Probably Call Me Harsh!

Giving someone a 4 year ban for killing a moose in Denali will certainly help an Utah’s deer herds! About as much as everything else on your list.

I can’t recall of ever hearing of a world wide hunting ban before, had anyone else?

It’s just a term of probation. It’s not a license suspension world wide. Some people have to do classes. Some treatment. Some community service. These guys are told if you go hunting anywhere regardless of what wildlife agencies do about your license privileges, you’re going to jail. It can only be in force while they are on probation. I like it! I wish more judges would do it.

You're Right!

Well Kinda Right!

We'll Replace DENALI With DRATville!

You Feel Better Now?

I'm not exactly a legal scholar, how does a U.S. imposed probation have any bearing what someone does while outside of the country? I don't see how a U.S. court would have any jurisdiction on the matter?

A court has jurisdiction over anything they want if they make something a term of probation.

It’s not a new crime to violate the terms of probation, but judges can give sanctions. This is as enforceable as any other term of probation given in any court ever.

I don't have enough knowledge to argue, but it's hard to believe that a court has jurisdiction over "anything they want".

Of course, within reason. But a court’s ability to set terms of probation are governed only by statute and the constitution.

This is very much within bounds of both those things. I wish more judges would think like this.

$10,000 fines and 4 year worldwide hunting bans. What would have happened to them if they had been threatened by the grizzly visiting the kill site and they killed the bear. Is there capital punishment in AK?

Worst punishment I’ve ever had in my life was when my dad told me you can forget about hunting this year for something stupid I did as a kid ! I like it !
