Am using a Swarovski 20x60 straight spotter with a Magview adapter and an Iphone 15. I got some pretty good pics of turkeys at 400 yards yesterday, but the turkeys head is a little grainy. Using the focus ring on the spotter doesnt really help that much other than telling me I am way out of focus. You guys have any tips to get clearer pics?

Have any photos to post up?
Turkeys move their heads a lot. Maybe at that distance camera and speed that’s the best you can get. Try taking pictures of a stake (any thing stationary about 2” wide) at that distance and see how. Lear it comes out.
Also try focusing in the turkeys head if possible.

Here is a pic from 400 yards. The ground in front of him seems focused well?

On my phone I leave it on auto focus then tap on what I want clear. When I do there is a little lock symbol by the target on my phone so I click that and it holds the phone focus there. After that I do fine adjustments with my spotting scope focus. I have android so not sure if iPhone has the locking or not

Here are a couple of things I have tried that have helped me but to be honest you just can't compare to what a real camera can do. Try to take the pictures on a timer or with a bluetooth to your phone. That way you are not touching the camera/phone at the time the picture is taken. I also took an old sock and cut the toe out of it. You can then cover the front lens and corner of the phone so that no (little) light is getting in between the two. Both helped but they will always be digiscope pictures.
