    Was a pretty good year

Well, the 2020 (elk) season came to an end today for me and what a barn burner it was. I was fortunate to be able to hunt every single rifle season in Colorado this year and we came out 100% success on bulls. Even I was able to kill one and we also threw in a moose for giggles.

    Dads Colorado Bull

A hell of a a lot effort went into this bull. My dad officially retired on Tuesday and we were able to take this bull on Saturday afternoon. Dad made a text book shot on this bull off the top of the canyon but I couldn’t find a safe route to get him to the bull due to the level of steep this...

    6.5mm 127 grains Barnes LRX

Got a wild hair and decided to load some 127 lrx’s in my 6.5x47 lapua the other day and was rather impressed with what they did. Achieved .25 MOA accuracy and pushed them 2925fps. The BC’s are nothing impressive but i was able to verify them out to 1080 yards. I don’t have a lot of experience...
